Das Hotel ist recht originell eingerichtet. Im Eingangsbereich steht ein Gorilla als Wächter und im Frühstücksraum Jean Luc Picard von der Enterprise. Mein Einzelzimmer war absolut in Ordnung - ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich. Mit dem Frühstück war ich auch sehr zufrieden. Über den Parkplatz könnte vorab besser informiert werden - er ist ca. 50 Meter entfernt. Dort sind auch nur kleine Schilder mit dem Hinweis Hotel Mason. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt im Zentrum von Altenburg.

Auf meiner Buchung stand Comfort Einzelzimmer ! Bekommen habe ich eine kleine Zelle, schlecht und unpraktisch eingerichtet und im Sommer Backofengleich und kaum zu Lüften !!! 👎 Durchgang zum Tisch, TV Gerät und Stuhl zwischen dem Bett und der Zimmerwand genau 18 cm. Zu allem Unglück hing genau dort genau ein großer Wandspiegel. Mit meiner mir da zugezogenen Verletzung habe ich nach einer Woche noch zu kämpfen ! Für gehandikapte Menschen und kranke Menschen eine Zumutung !!!!!!👎 Das Bett ist fast so groß wie das ganze Zimmer ! Kein Lift und enge Treppen geben den Rest. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend und auch das Restaurant verdient Beachtung !!!! 👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️ Auch die Lage zum Zentrum ist perfekt ! Für ältere und gebrechliche Menschen nicht zu empfehlen! Das nächste mal in Altenburg such ich mir was besseres
