On arrival the staff had no idea about the booking we had made for 6 people, they seemed overwhelmed and confused. After 30 mins of them calling someone on the phone they pointed to our rooms and the shared bathroom, handed us the keys and that was that. We wasn’t given any other information regarding breakfast times as this was booked on one of the three rooms we had. Not one person could speak a word of German or English, communicating was done by Google translate. When we went down to breakfast around 8.30 the whole place was in darkness, no staff member to be seen until after 10am, we didn’t receive any breakfast for the week we stayed here. On most nights the staff were sat outside the hotel entrance door smoking and drinking alcohol, shouting and singing until early hrs of the morning, all this could be heard in our rooms. One night when we arrived back from visiting family we were confronted by one of the staff members who was very aggressive, he accused us of using the hot tub, partying all night and damaging other items. He was demanding we pay him €60. As this wasn’t true we told him to check the CCTV (I’d rather bathe in my own body fluids than get into one of those filthy tubs). As you can imagine after this was very awkward walking past them at the entrance of the hotel, we were just glared at. Let’s get onto the double deluxe room with balcony. I’ve seen more deluxe in a tent, you couldn’t get onto the balcony as the door wouldn’t open. The toilet smelt of very strong urine, toilet paper and towels didn’t seem to be provided either. The beds looked at least 50yrs old and lacked any sort of comfort, our rooms hadn’t been cleaned for the whole duration of our stay. As they didn’t seem to have any bins we ended up taking our rubbish into the local town to dispose of. Our velux window wouldn’t close correctly as the handle was broken, not great when sleeping next to a very busy road. Plug sockets hanging out, exposing wires next to the sink, cobwebs and other dirt on the shelves and ceiling. All the smoke detectors had been removed from all our rooms, the stair and hallway had a filthy carpet runner that wasn’t tacked down correctly, major trip hazard. The whole area smelt of rotten food. On night six two staff members were getting it on with one another outside my daughters chalet while the remaining ones again were drinking and smoking by the hotel entrance. Enough was enough by this point and we decided to cut our holiday short as we couldn’t bare another night in Faulty towers and needed sleep. This has to be the most horrendous place I’ve stayed, how they still managed to be advertised on *********** etc I’ve no idea. It’s not friendly and definitely not value for money, I wouldn’t let my dog stay here for the night.

The car park was full of damaged and battered saunas which made the place look untidy it first sight. On arrival the staff looked confused and struggled to communicate. After a 30 min wait I was marched around the property in about 30 seconds and shown the 3 rooms we had booked. Overall the staff were very rude and after the restaurant closed on an evening they sat by the rear door smoking, drinking and shouting till the early hours keeping guests awake. Staff were unable to communicate in English or German and only spoke Russian. The smoke alarms in the rooms had been removed and smoke filled the corridors and rooms from the staff every evening. We paid for breakfast for one of the rooms and the restaurant wasn't open. The rooms weren't cleaned once in a week, the sheets and towels weren't changed at all. Live wires exposed at plug sockets, the velux window was broken so didn't shut resulting in excessive traffic noise from the busy road. The rooms carpet was full of ash. The carpet on the stairs was so loose it was a major trip hazard. Staff accused us of using a jacuzzi and demanded money via google translate, when we didn't and wouldn't due to the layer of slime on the water surface. Every morning we had to exit the property via the back door where the remnants of the staff's previous nights party strewn all over the table including a very large knife. We actually felt quite unsafe staying here and as a result we ended up leaving a day early. By far the worst run hotel I've ever stayed in. Unfortunately it was the only hotel available due to Paderborn's Libori fest. Having read reviews of the restaurant we decided to give it a miss, if only we had read reviews of the hotel before staying we would have looked elsewhere.

Where to start. Let’s say that if we could give 0, we would. We only stayed at this establishment after our previous accommodation was cancelled last minute and was the only place able to accommodate a family of 6 on labori week (we now know why). Upon arrival we were greeted by the sight of a sauna graveyard. Rows of battered mobile saunas lined up in the car park with parts strewn about various spaces. Once we found a place to park we entered the Rodizio restaurant and were met with a quiet, drab establishment with seemingly bewildered staff members who at the sight of our arrival appeared completely uninterested, unbothered and confused by our request to see our rooms. Once the non-German, non-English speaking staff accepted that we had in fact booked a room, we were shown at break-neck speed what our rotten, smelly hut comprised of. Plug sockets with open wires, cobwebs, tobacco ash on the floor, missing smoke alarms, black mold all over the shower area, urine stained covers, nails purtruding from windows, doors which didn’t fit their frame, bugs which continued to reappear and inhabit our hut throughout our stay, I could go on, but you get the point. Outside our shabby hut, are several hot tub jacuzzis, each with their own accompanying algae formation on the surface of the water - we couldn’t wait to take a dip…for the price of €10 per hour. On one of the evenings the very welcoming and homely staff politely accused us of having a party in these jacuzzis, where apparently there was broken glass all across the tacky relaxing area in between our hut and jacuzzi. This was obviously a flat out lie as when we were taken to the said area, not a single shard of glass was found - this didn’t stop the cheek of the bloke to request €60, to which we of course politely said “no”, or something to that affect. For the following days, we did not feel safe staying here. I’d also like to mention that with our stay, we were also offered inclusive breakfast. However, as you have maybe gathered from other reviews, this wasn’t served. In fact, on the first morning, we entered downstairs to find a completely closed, dark restaurant with only a single staff member, who was likely cleaning up the mess of other staff members from their nightly antics outside the back of the hotel (as I mention later). Clearly falsely advertised, but not surprising from this dump. And now we come to the finale. I am actually sat writing this review in Bremen, several hundred kilometres north of Paderborn, 1 day earlier than when we were supposed to leave Rodizio restaurant and hotel. As you can imagine the reasons above are evidence enough for why we would leave early, however it was early this morning upon waking (after a night of disturbed sleep due to staff partying, kissing each other, and likely using the huts for other purposes - which occurred more than once while staying here) where we were met with the sight of a large kitchen knife outside on the table where th
