Alsisar Mahal was a beautiful experience. We stayed two nights in the super luxury room that was enormous. They had taken care to ensure that there was adequate heating as it was bitterly cold. The room is divided into three sections and is really comfortable with adequate seating to entertain. The bathroom is also huge and well spaced. The decor is charming. It’s a great balance between being ethnic and not being an overkill. A window looks out into a delightful neem tree and the world within that. There are several interesting spaces within the property to keep you busy- a vintage jeep collection, a dungeon bar , a lovely pool, a temple, a sunset safari and so on. The dining room is large and can seat a vast number of people. This is the only part that made it look like a commercial property. The staff are really warm, hospitable and helpful. The food too is quite good with both buffet and a la carte options. The town itself is charming and has quite a few sights. It’s central and several other places of interest are within close driving distance. It was a great start to our holiday
