Our stay at this hotel was excellent. We had a Riverview room that was very relaxing.  Breakfast was plentiful and we appreciated the coffee/hot water availability 24 hrs a day. Our only complaint was direct tv which suddenly stopped working on us twice during our stay (no weather related issues). It will be wonderful once cable tv is installed - hopefully very soon!   The general manager, Jonna Radle, personally came up to our room to fix our tv the first evening we were there. She was friendly, very helpful, and took the time for us when her shift was very busy.  I saw her several times during the weekend and can attest to her true servant leadership. The hotel staff worked together and several spoke of Jonna’s hands-on work with her team.  I will say this group worked very hard to insure customers’ needs were met. Thank you!!   We will return when we travel back through Alpena!

We stayed for 3 nights for our anniversary and enjoyed our stay.  This is a lovely motel and very clean.  Staff was friendly.  Breakfast was delicious and   We only went out for a late lunch/early dinner since we had such a good breakfast.  Great location.  We walked to town, and to lake Huron, hoping for a sunrise. A nice bike trail right along the river.   The only thing that was a disappointment was that they do not have local TV channels so we could not watch the Lions football game. 

We stayed one night at this newish hotel.  It was conveniently located, with some restaurants within easy walking distance.  Room was clean and comfortable, with just one small glitch -- the message light on the phone started blinking at about 3:00 a.m. and wanted a passcode to retrieve messages.  Entering the room number didn't work, so we covered it up with a dark T-shirt so we could get back to sleep.  I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning, but they had no idea what the passcode was either.   We enjoyed the included breakfast prior to checkout.
