I needed a break, so I booked a week at Casa Rural del Rio, and in due course upgraded to a larger room with a city view, a desk, and a "terrace." Upon arrival I found out that this "terrace" is actually a tiny balcony measuring about 5' by 12." Patrick's English is otherwise very good, and although I am still laughing, since my Spanish is non-existent, I think I'll let him off that one. The breakfasts are very good, (and absurdly priced at 5 Euros per person per day). The hotel is fantastically atmospheric, with terracotta tiles on the floor, exposed wooden beams, and rocking chairs everywhere. Alozaina is a sleepy village up in the hills. Housemartins swoop around, together with swallows (or swifts, I'm not sure), and I saw birds of prey on my first day. I think I'm going to enjoy the rest of my stay. Dr Paul Harris

Deje el comentario por Google y la respuesta del alojamiento fue que como otros no se habían quejado no cabía lugar a que dijera ese comentario,por eso aporto foto,la experiencia decía que fue buena en general pero que me toco un colchón en mal estado,era de muelles y estaba con bastante uso los muelles literalmente me los clavaba,nos levantamos molidos,se ve que no aceptan las críticas muy bien

CASA RURAL DEL RIO MOLTO BUONO Subito ci è piaciuto il paesino (molto tranquillo) e con tutti i servizi necessari (oltre a bar e ristoranti, c’era anche un supermercato ed un distributore di benzina). Si tratta di una casa antica (quindi non aspettatevi ascensori o simil) nel cuore del paesino a pochisima distanza dalla piazza del comune. Però anche salire le scale era comodo e non pesavano affatto La nostra stanza affacciava sulle montagne e lo spettacolo del sole che sorge era qualcosa di impagabile. Molto cordiale e disponibile il proprietario che ci ha anche dato vari consigli sia per i ristorantie, che per le località dei dintorni da visitare. Purtroppo la strada per raggiungerlo non è una superstrada, ma piena di curve e controcurve. Se fosse meno distante da casa nostra, sicuramente ci ritorneremmo per qualche giorno di vacanza, magari invernale.

Este año hemos decidido repetir y del 30 de abril al 2 de mayo estuvimos nuevamente visitando a Patrick y Toñi en su hotel de Casa del Río en Alozaina. La verdad es que es una pareja encantadora y todo son atenciones con los clientes. Aprovechamos la zona para ir a Tolox, Casarabonela y el Pantano del Chorro, las 3 parejas que íbamos, lo pasamos genial. El hotel está en un enclave privilegiado para cualquiera que le guste visitar la Sierra de las Nieves o municipios de los alrededores, hacer senderismo, montañismo o simplemente visitar y conocer las gastronomía del entorno. Recomiendo el hotel que además de dormir bien, se esmeran en su limpieza. Gracias Patrick y Toñi.
