The hotel is in a small town, a minute walk from the attractions we want to visit. It was that we checked in late and didn't match the room I booked. The room was very small. It can be said that there was no place to get off the feet after the suitcase was spread out. But the service is still very good, different from the booked room type. Free extra bed. Breakfast is great, typical English atmosphere
The Shepherd's Rest is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Alnwick will find that the Shepherd's Rest is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Alnmouth Railway Station located approximately 7km away and Newcastle International Airport roughly 56km away. Keeping busy is easy, with Hotspur Tower, Alnwick Castle Golf Club and The Alnwick Garden all nearby. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Guests of this Alnwick hotel can make use of the parking facilities.
Below the hotel is a restaurant and bar, people come and go bustling. There are not many rooms above, simple decoration and furniture. The waiter is actually the restaurant waiter. The fly in the ointment is that the heating and hot water are very slow to come up, the room is very cold. But the room was cheap and the sound of bells in the distance was worth the money.
The seats are very good, very close to the castle, also in the city center, very close to the Morrison supermarket. There is a free parking lot, just turn left for two consecutive times, see the hotel name written on the white sign on the left, and then turn left. The aunt at the front desk has taught in China and also has grandsons of mixed Chinese and English, so I see Chinese people are particularly enthusiastic, the hotel restaurant is great, breakfast is a combination of buffet and order, which is relatively high-end. But the room is a bit old.
The guesthouse house is central in walking distance to the towns amenities only fault was the on suite bathroom small shower cubical would be a problem with anyone with a large frame
There was no checking in, Never sampled food, amenities limited.
