Almyrida Resort

This was disappointing to say the least. Upon arrival we were told that there was a stomach bug going round and to use the hand sanitiser regularly. Not what you want to hear when you just arrive but not a lot you can do about it. The receptionist also offered a choice of either staying in the main Almyrida beach hotel or the Almyrida studies just up the road, we had been up since 1.00am and decided to stay in the main hotel, rather than walking up the road to compare rooms, absolutely ridiculous. The room was clean but small and this does not reflect any 4 star we’ve stayed at. There was no complimentary products in the room, no little bottles of lotion or shower cap. There were no dressing gowns or slippers to use which we’ve had in every 4 star hotel we’ve used and no seating area inside the room, so had to sit on the bed. Zero privacy on the balcony and the noise from the road was none stop! We had booked half board, so went to have our evening meal in the restaurant and was massively let down. Food was limited and basic and cold when it should have been hot so we came to the conclusion that maybe the stomach bug originated from serving food that should have been hot was served cold so we decided to eat out from then on because we really didn’t want to get ill on a weeks holiday. The next day we took a walk to the Almyrida studio apartments to see if we’d made a mistake, we hadn’t, pool was dirty and looked like something out of the inbetweeners and the sunbeds on their part of the beach were filthy. The hand sanitiser they had literally took the skin off my hand. The pool area in Almyrida beach hotel had zero privacy and your view is of the road and car park which is busy! I’ve taken photos that show the true reflection of the hotel surroundings and what you see real time and not some edited social media pictures that make it look tranquil, which it is not! We have had a few hours sleep each night due to the noise from the road and car park. I could go on and hopefully the pictures will enable you to make a an informed choice.

We had a family room. Very spacious, nice decor, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Toiletries provided. We were B&B. Good choice for breakfast, however the hot options weren't hot enough. Roof top pool and bar is a nice area.

We have always enjoyed staying at the Almyrida Beach Hotel. Sadly my wife passed away whilst we were at the Hotel last month. The hotel staff were so caring to me and made my remaining days of the holiday as comforting as possible. Despite the unfortunately sad circumstances. I hope to visit next year and see all the lovely staff once again. X

The hotel is spotless but needs modernising rooms, which are nice but need updating. we had a room with a shower, but a curtain is very outdated for a 4-star hotel. The restaurant needs separating from the reception by putting in a partition, and furniture needs updating. When we arrived, we were told about a stomach bug that i caught on day 2 and my wife day 3, which took us both 2 days to get over. The pools are very cold in both hotels, which we tried twice. So we went 2 the beach every day the sea ws warmer and very shallow. We tried all the loungers at the resort where it had a soft sand with the cost between 10 euros to 15. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and never had a bad meal from lunch most days to going out in the evening, even though we were Halfboard the meals at the hotel were good. All in all, it was a wonderful resort for a very relaxing time.

My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. We have rarely experienced such friendly and attentive staff. Especially Theo at the reception was always up for a joke and really helped us with every question or concern! The rooms were very nice and cleaned every day. Overall, we really liked the hotel and can recommend it to everyone. Many thanks again to the kind staff who made our stay so pleasant! 😊

Came back to yet another week's stay at the beach. The hotel itself is warm , friendly and very well run. The staff are very friendly and cater to your every need. There are sister hotels and all guests can use the facilities at all of them. Lots of good restaurants nearby but the food here is very good. We were warned that there was a tummy bug going around during our stay but I myself did not catch it. We booked a late checkout for 4pm and they happily accommodated us. We will be back again!!!
