Absolutely brilliant. Could not fault the hotel. Stayed for three nights with our two families for my 80th Birthday. Our room was in the outside block, lovely room and facilities with a large balcony overlooking fields and views to the Lorton Valley towards Crummock Water. Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly, were made to feel very welcome on our arrival. Food and service excellent. Excellent quiet location with easy reach to Crummock Water, Buttermere, Keswick and Derwentwater.

Me and my partner stayed here for a wedding and all I can say is never again. We stayed in room 21 and I don’t think the decor has been changed in here since the 90’s, so old fashioned and the blinds were broken! For breakfast I ordered salmon and eggs, no bread or anything more came with this, I had to ask for bread. The ladies who served us were so unhelpful and very miserable, everything seemed as though it was a massive chor for them, is it so difficult to use manors and smile? Apparently it is for these ladies. £160 we paid for a dated room and very poor customer service, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it does not even deserve the 3 star hotel which it currently is.

We have recently returned from a wonderful week staying at this hotel. We were there celebrating our golden wedding anniversary having stayed there for our honeymoon in 1975. What an excellent idea it was to return even though it is over 300 miles from home. Wow, the hotel staff were wonderful, from the owners, manager, general staff to the cleaners. Nothing was too much trouble and our every request was met with a “we can organise that” “ leave it with us and we’ll sort it” Our anniversary afternoon and evening was more than exceptional and all our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves and commented on the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. The food is superb with a good choice and ample size portions. A trip we will remember for the rest of our lives Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Sunday lunch We went for Sunday lunch and everything was just perfect from the staff to the food. What really impressed us was the temperature of the food it was nice and hot not like a lot of places were it’s warm. Would give the them 10out of 10 We will definitely be back.

i had three course dinner and each course was excellent very tasty and filling the service was also excellent with no delays.the hotel is in a very attractive scenic area and the inside is very comfortable. we will return in the future probably for lunch.

Beautiful setting and tranquil gardens lounge scenic walks gorgeous building staff went above and beyond to meet my needs and listened to any comments meals tasty great choice of rooms and drinks comfortable and felt free to walk around the area and rose garden

I always meet my friends at hundith hill,when their staying in their caravan,we have coffee and tea, biscuits and toast,we were sat in the bar by the patio doors,asked if we could open them as hot the staff said no as fly's would get in ,on our departure,the staff had opened said doors.Pissed the three of us right off.
