Hotel is outdated. Front Desk Agent could use some Customer Service training-very dry and unapproachable. The hotel is huge so get ready to do a lot of walking.
Bathroom fan was loud and the room only had a coffee maker sitting on top of a mini fridge.
I will say the Restaurant is excellent. Complimentary breakfast is good. Coffee- not so much.

The overall environment is relatively old, with many car photos hanging on the wall, and the elf at the door of the restaurant is a bit creepy. The transportation is very convenient and very close to Ford Village. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to go to Ford Village this time.

After staying for a week, I feel that the service is very attentive. The aunt at the front desk is very sweet and has a good service attitude. The hotel has a long history and feels a bit historical. There are many rooms, and it is not easy to find a room.

Very nice older remodeled hotel. Ornate doors, tiled rooms, updated bathroom and very quiet.
The only thing keeping it from being an excellent stay was the heat. March weather is uncertain, it was warmer than expected and the boiler was still turned on. Staff did provide a fan which helped cool the room as it was still in the 40s outside.

We had a great time there. It was our home base for a fun weekend in Detroit. Being so close to the expressway made it convenient, but the hotel itself is beautiful and the buffet was delicious. The room was clean and spacious. It was quiet. After about 15 trips to Detroit, this will be our base going forward whenever we go up!

My experience was great the only issue was the mattress on the let out couch was terrible. Mattress needs to be replace.
