"We booked the hotel before booking the air tickets, but letter got the air tickets a day before our arriving date , we sent several messages to the hotel's e mail address as well as to trip.com to adjust our booking.... none responded to our communications, we tried to contact the hotel by phone, but they do not respond too.
with more frustration, when i showed the e mails copy at the reception counter (Hotel) the checked and informed that they have received the mails... did not even bother to give me any explanation for not responding to my request. My colleague and I, had to stay in a different hotel for 1 night and left AZ Hotel Vouge, D or a night before... this non - cooperation not only cost us USD 200 more but had to face a lot of trouble ."
"The pleasant, dedicated staff, very attentive, the smile of Hayate and his very attentive team and Houcine the night watchman who did me a great service by bringing me lessons
I will come back ❤️😍😍😍😍"
"Generally speaking, it's OK. It seems that the hotels here are not very good. The rooms facing north are on the road, which is quite noisy. The single bed is very small, and there is no way to dry the clothes. Friendly reminder: The hotel has no toothbrushes, toothpaste and slippers. The WIFI is super bad. It is basically unavailable in the room. It is recommended to buy a mobile phone card locally. The advantage of this hotel is that it can be picked up at the airport. You can call when you arrive. It is recommended to wait for them at the gate 4 of the airport. It may be more convenient. The breakfast is OK, you can eat enough, and there are more desserts. Another advantage is that you can order lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The taste is not bad. I ordered lamb chops, grilled chicken, steak, etc., see the picture. There are many service staff in the hotel, and they work in shifts. When you order food, there will be a fat waiter in the restaurant occasionally. He may be a small leader. His attitude is very average. I feel a little unhappy, but he doesn't go to work every day. It depends on luck. There is only one person. The others are very friendly."
"I used it for transit. When I tried to request a bus shuttle service from the airport to the hotel on the day of the trip, I felt uneasy because the phone number listed on trip.com and the website could not be connected for about 9 hours. We recommend that you request it in advance.
There seems to be one train every hour to take us back to the airport, so they arranged it for us.
Other services were fine.
For breakfast, although there wasn't a lot of variety, there were several types of Algerian sweets that I enjoyed. The bread was also delicious."
"Next to city center Carrefour, there are some restaurants. There are no ways to use Visa卡 in many places, it is very important to exchange local currency. There are still many Chinese restaurants."
"The room is well-regulated, the traffic is quite convenient, the sea is super close, and there are local restaurants on the side. It is not very convenient to eat Chinese food. Need to call, or tram."

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit old, for example the plaster is coming off the ceiling on the terrace. The management needs to be changed, nobody feels responsible. The housekeeping was very good, tried very hard (I even gave them an extra tip). The staff in the terrace cafe were rather unwilling. The breakfast is definitely not up to the standards of a 5* hotel, old rolls (at least from the day before), old toast, little choice, rather uncaring, but the staff were extremely friendly and tried very hard. The food in general is borderline (room service). At reception I was snapped at by a male employee when I asked a question, that was borderline. The view over Alger is great, however (make sure you book a sea view). The service in the bar on the E floor is also poor, the selection of drinks minimal. The wine is undrinkable. Acceptable for business trips, but I wouldn't spend a vacation in this hotel. Regarding Algeria in general, I would like to say that the people are extremely hospitable and polite, the food (outside) in the restaurants (except for once) is very good and inexpensive, taxis are very cheap, they are just not luxury cars (reminds me of the early days in Dubai in the 90s). A tip for a day trip at the end: Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, the restaurant next to the mausoleum has wonderful seafood from the charcoal grill.
EEmbassy of Hungary - Roland CseteEverything was fine. They didn't clean the room on one of the days, but we just stayed two nights. The location is very great, lot of restaurants in this area. Recommended.
KkevinchewInitially I only wanted to check out as the intenet is not stable. But the helpfulness and thoughtfulness of Karim and Chahinez Mehdi made my stay very pleasant. Bravo to the very good staff at the reception.
GGuest UserI spent 2 nights in this mythical hotel which hosted great figures from the political, artistic world, etc.
This hotel shines with the quality of the welcome, the cleanliness, the availability, the friendliness of the staff. The decoration, the style, the materials of the hotel tell a story charged with emotion. The rooms have kept the style of yesteryear. The breakfast served is very generous and the products are of high quality.
This hotel has a large, very clean swimming pool, restaurants and an enchanting exotic garden.
I will return with great pleasure and with great emotion.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, rather well located. I give a 10/10 to the service and cleanliness, I have never seen such lovely and caring staff. I have not had a single inconvenience or a single bad understanding. The swimming pool is very nice, the gym very functional. I will come back In Shâ Allâh.
MMonique KortoefWe have been to the City hotel three times now and we love to stay there. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful and want to give you the best experience. It’s located at a perfect place. Close to a square, stores and the metro. I recommend this hotel if you want a pleasant stay in Algiers in a nice and comfortable hotel.
NNor eddinUn très bel hôtel, un Acceuil très sympathique. Tout est très propre … il faudrait un petit effort sur le petit dej, meme si pour moi ça suffisait . Café croissants pains au chocolat pain ….
GGuest UserI loved Hotel Hydra. The purpose of my visit was to see my granddaughter and daughter in law.
The room was spacious and well appointed.
Only minor points could be improved- bath plug didn’t fit, light bulb out. I didn’t report this though. I felt safe and staff were gracious and kind.
If I visited Algiers again I would definitely stay there.
