Panorama Guest House

Well this was one of the most charming hotel (B&B) I ever been Situated right in the heart of the old city (btw Alghero old city and harbour promenade is absolutely fabulous) on a very quiet street, this hotel is situated at 3 and 4th floor of the building with totally 3 apartments. Also the roof terrace belonging also to this hotel and the panorama from there is fantastic with the sea and the dome of the nearby cathedral makes you feel you are in Florence. The stairs are very narrow to get up to the rooms, but this is the only weak point. The kitchen is in commonly shared with all 3 apartments, but very modern and well equipped (although there is no cooker). Be aware entering the old city by car is permitted only this time (8:30-10.30; 14:30-16:30). Outside this interval a fine of 140 eur will be granted. But you may park the car in front of the harbour where is a very large parking which is also free. From there to the hotel about 600 m And not at least a big thanks to the owner Manuel which was the perfect host giving as all the information we need and even help us to carry the suitcases on the narrow stairs. We visited Alghero at the beginning of September 2021 and stayed three nights at the guest house. We stayed at room No. 4 which is on top op the building with a nice view on the sea. Right in front of the room we had the entrance to the rooftop terrace which provides the most beautiful breakfast location you can have in Alghero. For breakfast you could send an online form on the evening before to choose between bread, croissants, fresh pressed orange juice and many more. The breakfast is served on the rooftop so you can enjoy the stunning view every morning. The interior of the room was very nice, clean and cozy. The house fits perfect in the hirsotic city of Alghero. You are at the waterfront in a few steps and can reach all points of interests in the city in a few minutes. One great extra aspect was that Matteo gave us good advice for beaches, restaurants and sightseeing around Alghero + he gave us an umbrella for our stay we could use at the beaches so we hadn‘t much to care for. Panorama Guest House was perfect for us - well located, a great room, and a lovely breakfast too. Matteo was a great host - clear communication, great instructions on location/check in, helpful tips for what to see and do in Alghero, many of which we can vouch for! The view from the rooftop terraces are fantastic. Would highly recommend this place.

Lovely place in the old city center, with outstanding city and sea view from terraces; very friendly owners, rooms and common space nicely furnished - great place to relax and experience beauty of Alghero and all Sardinia. Matteo and Cristina provided very useful information about restaurants, etc. Very clean and with great self-served breakfast.

Great location in the old center with restaurants and shops right outside the door. Close to the port where you can take various trips. Got some great recommendations from the host for very good restaurants. You can have your breakfast on one of the lovely terraces with seaview. If we come back to Alghero we will definitely stay here again,

I will never forget breakfast with a sea view! Great place, perfect location. The rooms are clean, rustic, decorated with taste, like the entire guesthouse. There are four rooms in total. There is a kitchen on the first floor. Guests make their own breakfast. New, fresh products are prepared daily in the fridge: butter, yoghurts, oranges for juice and delicious dessert cake. We prepare great coffee ourselves. There is also very good bread, various cereals, jams and nutella and fruit. Just an italian breakfast. I recommend buying different types of cheese and tomatoes for example and have them with you for breakfast, if you like savory breakfast. In the evening you can drink your wine on the terrace admiring the sea and listening to the waves, very romantic. The owners are very nice and helpful. We were delighted with everything!
