Hotel itself is very old, but service is great and location is nice. Basic hotel for a short-term stay.

Very good experience. Convenient transportation, hotel right by the sea. The price is also affordable/non-summer.

The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the centre. The beach in front is not very nice, but the hotel as a base for visiting the area is not bad. It is a bit old and the 4 stars are not the same as in Spain. You have to imagine that you are going to a 3 star beach hotel. Very attentive.

Very kind staff, always smiling and courteous. The rooms were really clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the sea. The location is perfect. A stone's throw from the historic center.

Hotel in a good location ( 15 minutes walk to the Old Town), in front of the beach, with a good restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, but with facilities that need updating.

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was very spacious with a large balcony facing the sea. The cleaners came every day. Staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a room to store luggage if you are too early for check in which we could use again when we checked out. Location was perfect, across the road from the main beach. About a 15 minute walk into the old town with beach front bars along the way.

Great location. Just 20 minutes by bus from airport and the beach is across the road. Kind and helpful staff. Room is big enough with balcony and sea view. Cons are very limited sun beds at the pool, no pool or beach towels, need renovation especially bathroom.

Hotel is in perfect location just beside the beach. Walking distance to everywhere shops, bars, restaurants etc. Bit noisy in the evening time but is in the town so.... Hotel restaurant is serving delicious food Very nice staff Pool maybe bit small but enough to makes you relax. Breakfast good enough No kettle in the room

The good things: Friendly staff Within 30 minute walk to the Old City The not so good things: The photographs are very misleading. The photos of the pool show the hotel next door. About 10 sun loungers around a very small pool. Pool area used as a restaurant mainly not for enjoying the sun or pool. You have to pay for towels. Sun deck on fourth floor has no sun loungers. Completely empty. Photos of the reception are are misleading. Very small, old fashioned and in need of painting and modernization. Don't go by the photos. Everything dull and dreary. Bedroom had very basic furniture and old fashioned and badly in need of painting. Bed extremely hard and very uncomfortable. Bathroom had a plastic shower cubicle which you felt you would fall through and break it was that flimsily. One very small shower gel provided for the week. Had to buy our own in the supermarket. Air conditioning worked sporadically and ineffectively; sometimes even blowing warm air. At one stage it stopped working completely and staff had to be called. Ants appeared from the wall skirting and had to be cleaned up. It took three visits to reception to get the safe working. Problem with the sink outlet plug which had to be operated by hand as it was disconnected. No tea/coffee making available. No glasses for drinks, only plastic cups. These are not 4*standards! Maybe 2 -3* at a push. Overall a worn out hotel, badly in need of refurbishment, with poor amenities but 4* prices and very misleading photographs which show something completely different. And to cap it all at the end you pay €58 for city tax. Loved Alghero but would stay elsewhere if going there again. So beware!

We booked a quadruple room which had a fabulous balcony looking out to sea. The balcony furniture left a lot to be desired. The pool was lovely but small with very few sunbeds. There is no rooftop sun area. A clean hotel, lovely restaurant but more three than four star.

The hotel Soleado is a little gem, not fancy or plush but very very pleasant. The staff are very pleasant and helpful! The location is ideal, on a sandy beach with a promenade. I'd love to see the seaweed removed though.... It's pushed into mounds ready for removal, hopefully! The old town is in easy walking range. It's charming cobbled narrow streets with eateries in every nook and cranny. The ramparts are stunning for a stroll, meal or coffee. The yellow tourist bus gives a good first look, well worth hopping on. Local buses nearby towns are available near the port also for a day out. We found renting an e-bike suited us ideally. There's a train station 100 metres behind the hotel.. Walkable even with a bag. We found grabbed a train to Sassari and onwards to Cagliari!

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the very helpful and friendly staff. This hotel is right on the seafront opposite a lovely beach of white sand. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the old town along a lovely wide promenade. The hotel rooms have basic furniture, air conditioning, quite firm beds, fridge, safe and TV. We were on the 4th floor with lovely views of the sea from the balcony. The bathroom had a shower, toilet. Sink and bidet. Also a hairdryer and a bottle of shower shampoo and a small bar of soap. Breakfast was the usual offering of eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit, yogurt etc and a selection of cakes. There are two machines for hot drinks but the staff will make fresh hot drinks if asked. There is a nice swimming pool, not heated. The restaurant is also open to the public for lunch and evening meals. We enjoyed our stay.
