View from hotel is amazing and grounds of hotel are top notch however the rooms are only adequate but very well kept by polite staff Pool is great and kept very well. Groundsman keeps the place looking spot on. Beach and jetty are lovely to walk along. Breakfast is great and has a huge choice, staff are very friendly in here. The bad points No 1 the big one and did ruin my stay some what. The food. Fish fish fish and more fish!!!!! If you’re not a fish lover Do not come here! Literally only couple of options that aren’t fish having travelled very far extensively through Italy and Sicily before I’ve not encountered this before. The food was really well cooked and the steak was amazing just can’t eat that every night for 2 weeks! There’s no pizza or non fish pasta options. And when you’re so stuck in one place did ruin a bit for us. Taxis are very expensive. Hotel doesn’t have bikes or scooters and the ones you can hire are so expensive it’s cheaper to get a car. While this may be ok for a few days we were here for 2 weeks! Small limited shop is 20 mins away and charge through the roof. The bar has been hit and miss on service dependent on who was working on it some fantastic some not so! The bed was rock solid! We ended up sleeping on top of the duvet Again the hotel doesn’t have bikes or scooters and feels like that to keep you here to pay over odds for drinks and eat fish! The place its self is stunning but I wouldn’t return just for food situation sadly. I can see how others will love it tho just not me unfortunately

We stayed 4 nights and the only two positive notes of the hotel are the central and very convenient location and the very courteous staff. From the photos I had very high expectations which were completely disappointed. We were assigned a room with a window that overlooked an extra wall covered by scaffolding which made it very dark. The furnishings leave much to be desired as they are dated and an unpleasant smell inside the room. On the second day we used the room cleaning service and the bubble bath was not replaced. For what we paid I expected a lot more considering that breakfast was not included in the price either.

We have been in Alghero so many times and in so many facilities and I can finally say I have found our place!! That's a good idea of check-in in autonomy, it doesn't bound you with the time of arrival. The room was perfect with the hydromassage that enriched it even more. Maximum cleaning and attention to the detail. Well heated. Large, bright. With a price suitable for the offer. The gentle staff, the cleaning woman with a cat's slippered step had already started cleaning the rooms and we didn't realize anything (other times we were woken badly by angerous noises of furniture and moved beds). Breakfast at the bar next to the hotel with pleasant and available staff.

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful sea view, access to the beach (best if you bring swimming shoes) & promenade, a very nice courtyard with flowers and a seating area to enjoy your mornings/evenings. A short walk to the old town and the most important sites. The restaurant is serving very delicious breakfast and dinner every day! All the staff are so attentive and did their u**ost to make our stay exceptional and unforgettable! The reception, restaurant and housekeeping teams all make you feel at home like family! A special thanks goes to the front office: Antonio M., Antonio S., Mauro, Sabrina, Monica; restaurant staff: chef Patrizia P., Angelo, Gianpietro, Massimo, Stefania. They are all stars! We are currently staying at Hotel Calabona and I needed to write a review as it is absolutely exceptional. The staff are so wonderful always smiling and helpful Adriana In the Cala Bistrot is the most helpful beautiful person looking after us so well. The reception staff are so helpful and kind the staff at breakfast are incredible so so hardworking. The breakfast is located downstairs in a beautiful light banquet room, the choice is incredible from a barista making fresh coffee to someone cooking made to order eggs to the juicing machine to make your own fresh juice the choice is amazing and varied with something for everyone. The pool is meticulously clean and tended to and has lots of very comfortable loungers. There is a gorgeous private beach also which is stunning and large beach towels are provided for €3 if needed. The rooms are perfect very clean beautiful balcony’s with comfy chairs and the bathroom is very well equipped with hairdryer and toiletries provided. So far 10/10 for this wonderful hotel. The walk to the old town is 15 minutes down hill with panoramic views so so beautiful and a complementary shuttle bus is provided if you don’t fancy walking up or down! We are on honeymoon and enjoying every second.

Very good and clean hotel with good breakfast and nice views. Outstanding staff, especially Marco was very helpful. The location is perfect to visit the old town of the city but still very easy to reach by car. 15 minutes to the airport but no plane noises.

We had such a great time here, awesome pool, large garden, olive trees. Well maintained. Staff super-friendly, restaurant has great food and is visited by locals regularly. Location is perfect, just north of Alghero, and next to the Airport (but no noise). This will be a recurring booking goong forward. Also enjoyed the wildlife, alpine swifts diving in to drink from the pool, large butterflies.
