Wonderful, personal service in this beautiful old heritage hotel located right on the corniche in central Alexandria. Breakfast at the rooftop restaurant and enjoy the view.

A very authentic historic hotel direct in the downtown district.
The rooms have comfortable beds and charming baroque decorations.
The staff and manager were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming.
The terrace Restaurant offers excellent food and a breathtaking seaview in an elegant atmosphere.
I would gladly come back.

Whilst the location of this hotel is excellent, and the aesthetic of the hotel is very regal / European in its vibe (old style elevator, bell boy, tea room), the actual facilities are just average. The handle to our room was broken, the room itself smelt damp, there was no wifi connection available and no water bottles were provided as previously promised. The novelty in living in a “fancy” turn-of-the-century style hotel was fine for 1 night, but I’m not sure I’d recommend this place based on the price tag per night.
