Ibis Alençon

My beautiful young wife and I enjoyed a three night stay here recently. The Hotel is clean and tidy with comfortable rooms. The location is close to the centre and many shops, bars and restaurants (La Reservé on the same street is very good). WiFi is good, and free. There is on-street Payant parking outside and a reasonably priced underground car park across the road (under the Halle aux Toiles). The staff are helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel near the city center. Reception open day and night. Friendly and helpful staff. Well-kept rooms with TV. Excellent bathroom and tasty breakfast with sufficient variety. For us a downside was the lack of a guarded parking lot. Little problem for those traveling with limited luggage. But we had expensive bicycles with us and could not park in front of or near the hotel. The receptionist offered to keep our bicycles in storage. We gladly accepted that offer. Highly recommended for people in transit. Certainly an interesting stay for those visiting the city.

Very convenient for central Alencon, right on the central, business district, just a short walk from the cathedral and pedestrianised town centre. Near the shops and bars. Public parking just outside the main door but no dedicated hotel parking, we were made aware of. There was a small hotel bar and a lift to all floors but everything was just a bit meh 😕. Not noticeably different to their, or any other chain's budget offering. Staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms on the smaller side and adequate enough with ensuite shower WC. Perhaps next time we'll look for somewhere more suburban with charm and greenery around.

Excellent location, a short walk to the cathedral & town shops. Restricted car paces outside, although the hotel staff recommend alternatives, but all car parks are free Sundays. Basic but clean rooms which I found quiet. Good breakfast selection. Alencon is a delightful town to wander through. A visit to the Lace Museum was well worth it, stunning displays of this towns important trade.
