Super-charming village and inn, comfortable for one night. The room was brand-new and very clean and comfortable. It was unusually cold weather for summer, and it would have been nice to be able to turn on the heat for a bit (did not ask, though). The rate included breakfast, which was plentiful and very good. The staff was friendly.

Fantastic food and service. Really happy with our overnight accommodation. The view from our bedroom window is a "feel good" feeling. Would love to live in this village. Thank you.

The room was very basic more basic than a travel lodge in my opinion. The room was cold asked for the heating to be put on the thermostat was broken so heating was on all night far too hot. Wasn't even a mirror in the room apart from the bathroom.

Stayed here three nights. Room clean but basic. Food was OK but nothing wonderful unfortunately. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Their service raised this review from 3 to 4 stars. Our room was on the front corner where smokers gathered. Couldn’t open windows (and the weather was hot) because of the smell. Shame about this.

There’s nothing much to describe really other than it is lacklustre, bland, grubby and not particularly comfortable. It’s like the owner/manager just gave up. The furniture is tatty, the bed uncomfortable, the carpet grubby and the bathroom run down. Such a shame given its location and the little it would cost to bring it up to a better standard. Such a huge disappointment especially for what you pay. Thanks but no thanks, I’d love to come back as I know the area well and have friends and relatives that live nearby but I think I would rather look for a better option than stay there again, sorry, but you really need to consider your guests, not just your pocket.

The Greyhound Inn hosted us at the end of our teams 21 mile charity walk and gave us exceptional service. Great food and drink after a very long day, super flexible with arrival of our walkers which ranged over a few hours and still served delicious hot food. Massive thanks to Tim and the team.

Stayed last night. John’s Taxis from Tring Train Station picked me up as agreed from the London train. Welcome was fantastic Room was great Dinner was exquisite Wine list was good. Breakfast was hearty and the taxi pre booked as I ordered breakfast turned up as requested. (I collapsed to my room exhausted at 8ish and actually had the best nights sleep I have had for months!) Would recommend without a moments doubt!

Excellent lunch. Special recommendation for the sea food platter. Great draft beers. Very friendly helpful staff. If you want to spoil yourself have an espresso martini or espresso affogato. A very new and enjoyable experience turning it into a wonderful treat.

Following a very long circular walk around Wigginton we arrived back at The Greyhound pub where we thought we had booked a table for six for lunch. We hadn't and they couldn't accommodate us but advised there was another Greyhound pub in Aldbury and we must have made a booking there in error. On arrival at said pub we found that there too, no such booking had been made. Turns out that the booking had been made at the Greyhound Pub........ in the Lake District! Hats off to the manager who pulled out all the stops and found us a table and even let us take the dog into the restaurant where a fine Sunday lunch was had by all. Thank you.
