BQ Delfin Azul Hotel

Travelled here with Jet2, 3rd visit. This hotel is excellent, the service is excellent. All of the staff are helpful and courteous. We booked half board so we had breakfast and an evening meal, the choice of food was tremendous. If you could not find food you liked may be you should stay at home Booking through Jet2 this whole trip was fantastic value, will definately go back..

On arrival we were greeted by checked in quickly. Our room was large, clean and modern. The beds were comfy - 2 twin pushed together. A good hairdryer in the bathroom and a large shower that had good power. The towels were fluffy. There is a safe in the bedroom that you can hire and as other reviews have noted there is no kettle so be sure to take one if you want a morning cuppa! The only downside was tht we overlooked the road and although on the 5th floor you could hear the road noise especially in the mornings, i think it would be better pool side but we went with jet2 and there wasn't an upgrade option when we booked, also this side got absolutely no sun all day so sitting on the balcony wasn't an option. Retrospectively we should have asked to change rooms but we didn't and as said the room itself was very good. We found the food excellent, we usually eat out a lot but the food was so good we regularly ate in the hotel, there was lots of choice of good quality, well cooked food, we are not fussy eaters but couldn't imagine that everyone could not find something they liked. The staff in this hotel were all super cheerful and helpful and worked hard. The entertainment team consisted of 2 people, both of which were very cheerful and put on a couple of good evening entertainments. There was a children's mini disco but we didn't see this. There was also outside evening entertainment which mainly consisted of solo acts but were very good, we especially liked the female rock singer. The pool area is large and has a bar selling drinks and snacks. The pool was freezing in mid April though! The hotel is situated just a few steps from the shops and bars and a 4-5 minute stroll to the beautiful white and beach. It took about 30 minutes to walk to the beautiful walled, old town. There is a bus stop a few steps away which has buses all over the island and we visited Palma this way for approx 12 euro return - bargain! We would highly recommend this hotel and have started looking at returning already

Very nice hotel, very clean and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast is excellent, plenty of choices available. However one thing I do want to point out is the aircon situation, is only switched on in the summer months. We stayed in April which was 25 + degrees and at night the room was very hot, most nights we had to sleep with the patio door open which introduced a lot of noise from the main road. You can rent a fan from reception but it’s costly and unfortunately the hotel do not keep them on site so they have to order them in for the next available day. I’m sure in the summer months the aircon will make a big difference but even in April we found it very difficult to get to sleep at night with the heat. Overall I would stay again but perhaps bring a fan.

The food and staff here are fabulous. Great pool, gym and bike store made it a perfect base for our active holiday. The location was great too. Close to bus stops and not too far to the beach. Just far enough out of the centre of Port d’Alcúdia to avoid the bustle. Car hire next door and bike hire across the road.

Stayed here several times it's always enjoyable. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Hotel is well situated about 10 minute walk to the beach, bus stops 2 mins away. Not sure I would book half board again but that is a personal preference.. .

Nice hotel with very attentive and helpful staff. Great breakfast and variety of selection. No air conditioning which was a problem as it was hot and no alternatives to help with the heat in the rooms. It made it uncomfortable in the rooms. Shirt distance to the beach and restaurants locally.

BQ Delfin Azul Hotel is the BEST hotel I’ve ever been to. It was always spotlessly clean, every single staff member was outstanding, everyone who helped us were all welcoming and kind and I must say it was some of the best customer service I’ve ever received in a hotel. We booked as a couple for a “babymoon” as I am 27 weeks pregnant so we spent 90% of our time in the hotel - we had breakfast included in our stay which was amazing each morning with plenty of variety; we then would spend the day by the pool which was never over crowded and there was a poolside bar and restaurant which served stunning lunch and great mocktails! The staff would also host daytime events such as darts, snooker, table tennis etc which was extremely fun! We usually went out to eat in the evenings so cannot review the dinner-time buffet unfortunately but every night without fail we would return to the hotel for 20:45 for the entertainment which was great for both kids and adults. The location is also ideal, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and plenty of restaurants, shops etc within 20 minutes (walking) each way of the hotel - but not too close to bars / restaurants so that you had any disturbance in the nights, we had a really peaceful stay with no disturbance from party goers at all. This hotel was always going to get a 5* review from me due to all of the above but I want to make a special mention to the entertainer Dante who made our stay memorable. Dante is one of the best people we’ve had the pleasure of knowing, he is so funny, outgoing and extremely personable - honestly I would come back to this hotel just for him. Not only was he great with the kids, he also took the time to get involved with the adults and knew us by our names on the first day we arrived and would always go out of his way to greet us even if it was over the microphone as we walked into the lounge in the evenings. Dante really made this trip one of the best holidays we’ve had and I could not be happier with our experience at BQ Deflin Azul. We cannot wait to return next year with our own little one. Gracias to all of the hotel staff but especially Dante - you were all outstanding.
