The hostel has a great location. Just next to it there is a big carpark if you come by car and at the side it also has an ATM. Metro and buss station really close by. On the back street there are plenty of local pastrys, restaurants and small shops. The stuff is friendly and helpfull. Bed is comfortable and it's super handy that you have 2 sockets and a ”night light” just above your pillow. You also get a locker that's under the beds - this is big and great to store your stuff till the point where you roomates come late or leave very early and then it makes a really loud noise. The showers were not so clean but i've seen worse, at least you get soap dispensers that actualy have soap in them and there is also a hair dryer in the bathroom. The wifi power is great and works well everywhere in the hostel. The terrace is really nicely designed and a great place to socialise on the days that it's not extremely windy 😆

I am deeply dissatisfied with the online booking service offered by Zenhotels. I made a reservation for what I thought would be a private room with 2 pets allowed and made a payment of 97 euros, which according to the booking confirmation received, was the total amount for the reservation. I was supposed to only pay 6 euros for the tourist tax and 10 euros per pet for the entire stay. Upon arrival at the hotel (WOT Lisbon Nomad), I was informed that the reservation I had made did not correspond to a private room and that in order to get one, I would have to pay an additional 234.51 euros on top of the already paid 97 euros (this would be for the upgrade to a private room + 10 euros per day per pet). Obviously, this news at the time of check-in and with such a price difference (more than three times the original value) makes it almost impossible for the customer to seek an alternative. Furthermore, I tried to explain to the hotel that the website was not very clear about private or shared rooms, as the room description did not indicate that it was shared. Additionally, it did not mention that the payment for the pets was per day rather than for the entire stay. The person responded that if the website did not have complete information, it was not the hotel's problem. I countered that if they were selling their services through third parties, they are just as responsible as the website promoting them to ensure that the information is accurate; otherwise, they are complicit in a scheme to deceive customers. Finally, I decided not to proceed with the proposal because I found it disrespectful, an excessive charge compared to the original offer, and unprofessional. Therefore, I feel that I was cheated out of the 97 euros that I paid and that I could not use the offered service.

I appreciated how this hotel was able to accommodate me on short notice after the original hotel I had booked with canceled my reservation. The rate was reasonable and it was located where I needed to be. The Grand Lisboa Hotel is part of a chain of VIP hotels in Lisbon. It was quite clean but slightly run down. The room was basic and since I just needed to sleep and shower, it was fine. All the money has been put into the bathroom with modern fixtures. The bathtub is high and slippery. There was no mat to prevent falling and stepping out of the tub felt a bit precarious. The rest of the room was spare. The bed was quite firm. A table and chair in the room had some sort of dried spill on them. Bottled water was complimentary. I did not make use of the bar or restaurant facilities whilst there. To change money, on goes to a sister hotel, the VIP Zurich-walking distance-and receives a poor exchange rate. Live and learn. The service, overall, is helpful. I was given suggestions, directions, maps, etc. All the things one expects from those in the hospitality business happened. No complaints, there.

It’s been a long time since I was last in a youth hostel, and as a now 45 year old man there is probably a reason for this. Arriving late on the Tuesday night with fond memories of dorm parties and tequila slammers, I was greeted by what I initially thought was captain Jack Sparrow, but who actually transpired to be a very friendly chap who helped us to navigate the intricacies of the main entrance. Door buzzed, suitcases lifted up the stairs and ugh who let mum and dad in looks absorbed, we were handed our keys by a lovely member of the team alongside vouchers for two free shots. Enthusiastically we were informed that the bar was open until 1am that night, although we had missed the pub crawl for the evening. I’m flattered I guess, however we decided to give the shots a miss in favour of a nice sleep. Yup, Father Time catches up with us all… We had a private double with a shared bathroom, and although very small it was comfortable enough. The pillow has perhaps seen better days, but the A/C was a life saver! Spending the days walking around town and doing some gentle exploring, the nights were largely spent for myself at least in the bar area downstairs. It’s a small but perfectly functional area, and in all honesty wasn’t the screaming mess of teenagers away from home for the first time that I had been expecting. At 3 euros a pint I was certainly very happy to sit and read whilst various cool young things did their thing in the background. Declining participation in the pub crawl for a second time, I was tempted with the tapas tasting but plans for the night changed due to friends arriving a day early and diner reservations being made. From a comfort point of view, our bathroom was shared between three double rooms I believe on the third floor, and this was never an issue. I attribute this to the fact that we were likely on very different schedules with us going out for the day and back for the night, as opposed to the perhaps more night based activities of our fellow residents. Bedroom like I said small, but hey, who cares, we weren’t here to sit in a room all day. The breakfast was absolutely fine, and for 5 euros a day you really cannot complain. All in all very happy with my stay, though peeking into an open dorm room one day my god I wouldn’t have survived the week unless you could take 25 years off me! Good job though overall Sant Jordi, and I’d certainly consider staying again - safe, friendly and somewhere I’m sure 20 year old me would have had a blast!

The staff is wonderful, i came with my 2 kids, and we had 3 single beds. Beds are comfortable. The bathroom size is correct, not too small, and not too big. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast bufet is very nice and complete. Thanks again to the staff who are very helpful and kind. The walk to the beach is 5 min, the beach is very nice. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Me and my partner booked the hotel for 6 nights. I had to lengthen our stay which was no problem with the hotel staff and they were very helpful and kind. Our room didn’t have the greatest view as it was directly across a Toyota dealership however we weren’t overly bothered about it. The room was very clean and so was the toilet, they provide a small fridge and a cupboard with a safe to place belongings. Our bed was very comfortable and served us well. They also offered free drinks downstairs in the hot drinks machines. They offended parking for cars and optional room cleaning service daily. The hotel is roughly 5 minutes driving away from the airport. Overall we had a great stay at the hotel ! The only problem we encountered which is the reason for 4 stars is that our toilet shower had an annoying problem with the temperature, it would go from warm to really cold and then proceed to really hot. Apart from that we had a great stay and we would recommend the hotel!

We arrived here early, long before check-in. We waited in the lounge, which was comfortable enough, and noticed guests arriving after us were being allocated thier rooms before us, no reason given. We had booked 2 balcony rooms, only to be put in the basement with a ”garden room”, no view, dark and dingy. I complained and in fairness we were moved the following day, although we were put two floors apart, not ideal as we were travelling as one party. One of our party was taken unwell and the Reception staff could not have been more unhelpful, flatly refusing to call a doctor. Having worked in the travel business in this resort I can honestly say that I have never stayed in such an unfriendly, unhelpful hotel. I would never even consider staying at this awful place again, let alone recommend it to anyone else. Please pay a little more and stay in a decent hotel as far away from this one as possible.

It was a complete pleasure to stay st this wonderful hotel for many reasons. It’s location is simply fantastic within walking distance to everything. The rooms overlooking the beach are stunning. Rooms are spotless with excellent house keeping. Breakfast is a feast. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The cherry on the cake is it’s great value for money. We stayed for 5 nights and found that the hotel was not at a 4 star rating standard. Good points: - We had a great view of the beach from our room - 2 min walk to beach Bad points: - a general lack of enthusiasm and purpose from staff at hotel. We found ourselves constantly waiting for things and would find out key information about the facilities as our stay rolled on. There was always lots of staff on reception but no one was doing anything. - They will nickel and dime you for everything, even the coffee capsule in your room! - large bed but uncomfortable - The hotel is stuck in a kind of early 2000’s time warp. I’m sure it was great back in the day but has fallen into disrepair. - shower and bathroom not cleaned to a high enough standard, mould visible. - breakfast was basic and not at a 4 star standard, eggs tasted like flour and bacon was processed. Sesimbra is a beautiful destination and if we had our time over again, we’d stay further down the beach at another hotel or Air B&B. You’re effectively paying for the view at this place but that’s about it.

Nice hotel very well located in a beautiful place. Our bedroom was big and comfortable, the view was nice, the crew were professional and kind. The breakfast wasn’t big but very tasty and enough for us, and it’s local products ( jam, pastries etc). We really appreciate this hotel and we highly recommend it. They
