Hotel la Battigia

I was really looking forward to my stay here for a local destination wedding but continued to have many issues here. The week before my trip the hotel could not find my reservation that was paid in full almost a year prior. Because they were full, they could not accommodate me and I ended up having to take my brother’s room while he went to the sister Resort. Originally I was supposed to have a sea side view but unfortunately was left with a view of the parking lot. The only saving grace was good food, friendly WAITSTAFF and a very helpful front desk worker, Alessandro. The rest of the front desk staff were extremely rude, took almost 20 minutes to let me in at night because the staff was sleeping and didn’t hear me ring the bell, and worst of all they refused to let my hair and makeup artist come in to prepare for my day. They were extremely unhelpful claiming they were unaware of a wedding when 1) my travel agent specified it to them and 2) my welcome dinner was on site. The owner literally shrugged off my concerns and did not offer any assistance. I wish I stayed at the Resort instead to avoid the frustrations on my special day.

Our family of four (two adults and two kids, aged 2 and 6) had an unforgettable stay at Hotel La Battigia from June 25th to July 2nd 2024. The hotel is perfectly situated right on the beach, making it an ideal destination for families with young children. The private beachfront offers shallow, sandy waters, which are perfect for little ones to safely enjoy. The sunsets in the evening were absolutely stunning, adding a magical touch to our evenings. The restaurant at Hotel La Battigia deserves special mention for its high-quality and delicious meals. As a family with celiac requirements, we were delighted to find that the restaurant could prepare almost everything on the menu gluten-free. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs. Francesco P., the Restaurant Manager, ensured that everything was perfectly controlled and that our meals were gluten-free. Francesco R. and Francesco L. were fantastic with our kids, always making them laugh and ensuring that whatever we ordered was prepared to our specifications. We also want to highlight the exceptional reception staff— Giusy, Lucia, Danila, and Cristina—who were always guest-focused and attentive to our needs. Their warm hospitality and dedication to service made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Hotel La Battigia in Alcamo, Sicily, is a wonderful destination for families. With its beautiful beachfront location, excellent dining options, and attentive staff, we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in 2025.

The hotel is charming, and located directly on a beach. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. But the best part is the staff. The girls at the front desk,Guisseppa, Christina, and Daniela, charming and very friendly. Alessandro, the manager, was also great. We were on a Cooking Vacation. The chef, Salvatore, was outstanding!

The restaurant offers really tasty meals, mostly fish and seafood. The quality of the meal and dining is worth 4+. The accomodation is overall, offers hotel cosmetics, minibar, everyday cleaning & changing towels, but nothing impressive, just basic...The pool and the beach are clean. The hotel is situated in the middle of "nowhere", there is nothing to do except of eating, sunbathing and swimming. I recommend to hire a car or arrange some trips. There are some small shops in the nearest, they offer basic things and they are overpriced. The taxi to Castellmare del Golfo was 20 euro one way.

This hotel is amazing! Only 26 rooms so you feel right at home. The staff goes beyond themselves to satisfy every minimum desire… the view from sea view rooms is amazing. You feel like being on a boat. The pool is lovely and relaxing. If you want to stay in a beach place and relax and enjoy the sea it is the place to be. Conveniently situated to reach Castellammare or Spotello or segesta in 15 min by car.

Overall a good hotel but make sure you get a good room facing the sea and up1 level from the pool. The food is excellent and the pool is clean, Private beach is also clean with great loungers foc. Nothing much to do in immediate location so worth booking trips. Noemi at reception was particularly helpful. A couple of nights the beach bar played toneless music very loudly. on one occasion till 2 am
