Stayed for one night during a cross-country trip with my dog. I arrived late afternoon and after a couple of hours realized the noise from highway traffic just across from the hotel was going to be a problem. I asked at the front desk to see about any options to move rooms and the attendant immediately dismissed any options - despite the fact that it was still early - many rooms still open and I'm a Diamond member. Just no effort to look at another room for me. So, then, needing to find a grass area for my dog to do her business... none exists - just a rocky area across the parking lot - with 110 degree heat on her paws crossing the lot to a bunch of rocks. A homeless man with his dog were huddled nearby scaring the you-know-what out of us. (They also charge $75 per day extra for having a dog). The neighborhood is not good at all to put it mildly. The cost was above average for a Hampton Inn that has not been updated in decades. Overall, just a complete and utter FAIL.

At first glance this hotel looks pretty good. Attractive entrance, nice looking little bistro on first floor (which unfortunately was closed on a Monday night), modern and inviting. However, once you get into the main part of the hotel, hallway carpeting is worn, decor is outdated, and elevator is small and uninviting. I could have looked past that except that I use a walker and we had a wheelchair on our luggage cart and we were put almost at the far end of the second floor (our fault for not specifically asking for a handicap accessible room, but with the hotel almost empty this shouldn't have happened!). The room itself was fine, beds are comfortable, but again everything looks a little dated. The fabric chair in the room had something black streaked on the one arm, and our bathtub was absolutely disgusting. It literally looked like an ashtray had been dumped in it. On top of that the bathroom is so small the door opens right up onto the toilet. I should have complained and insisted on being moved, but we were only there the one night. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the airport, and walking distance to an Applebee's, so these were positives. My husband used points to book this hotel, so obviously we are frequent Marriott users, so I would have expected better. There are MANY other hotel choices all within a mile radius, so I'd probably pick something else next time!

I arrived at the Double Tree late in the afternoon after a long day of exploring. The check in process was pleasant and straightforward. I quickly noticed how clean and well maintained the property was which is always a good thing. I was given a room on one of the upper floors. When I entered my room I was met with a fresh smelling clean room. The bed was maid up well and the bathroom was also well kept. I thoroughly enjoyed the view from my window that overlooked the city. On a scale from 1 to 10, the bed was about a 6. It was a little on the firm side but otherwise still relatively comfortable. The hotel was situated downtown. There was a huge parking lot behind a gated arm at the property. Please expect to pay for parking as downtown parking can be scarce. I had to circle the lot a few times in order to find an empty space. Be advised they do have an overflow lot down the street. The hotel is right above the convention center so it stays pretty busy. There were also many places to eat nearby such as the 505 Central food hall which featured many different dining options. I’d recommend it if you’re with a group of people that have diverse food palettes. Overall I’d stay here again. I rate this property a 3 because it was just what I expected. There was nothing exceptional about it, but it wasn’t bad at all.

We had not planned to stay at this hotel but after staying at another Heritage Hotel it was top on our list when we found that our return flight home was canceled. I booked online very early since the reservation center was not open at that hour in the morning. (5 am) I had remembered seeing the hotel previewed on the heritage channel during our stay at The Inn and Spa at Loretto earlier that week. Once we obtained our rental car and had some coffee we contacted the hotel and asked if we could drop off our luggage since there were a lot of alerts about car break ins at a lot of tourist locations. We were told that we could absolutely do that and to come right over. The valet attendant James took care of our luggage quickly and efficiently. We returned to the hotel around 2 pm to see if we would be able to check in early. Sarah at the desk was very kind and welcoming while briefly listening to our plight. She got us checked in early with swiftness and efficiency. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable with every convenience we would need. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming even the hotel security Michelle who brushed the snow off our rental. Absolutely loved this hotel and can't wait to go back.

This was my 2nd stay within a month at a Drury hotel(Albuquerque and Las Cruces NM), and is the best I've experienced with a supportive but soft bed(what I would call Medium Firm) and soft, airy pillows, which is #1 for me when I travel. The rooms are always clean and no smoke smells anywhere. The only thing I would like to see change is replace those 50-year old design noisy in-room air conditioners with a modern mini split unit with real air filtration. In a post-covid world, the future is hotels that are clean and bio-safe.

I would like to thank you very much, Lazy girl, who has given us a great help! Because of the cancellation of our flight (the first of four to return to Italy) we risked not to leave; he supported us in the telephone with the airline who found us on a previous flight. Managing the arrival clients for check in and we who have been ”parked” for 25 minutes at reception, Dezire has done her work in a nice way! 1000 GRACES...

Worst hotel experience ever. The first thing I noticed upon entering was a strange chemical smell, not very pleasant. We checked in and went to our room. Our first room wasn’t clean and even though we paid extra for a mountain view it didn’t have one. We were moved to the fourth floor, still not much of a view of anything but the front door, and parking lot, don’t waste your money on the “mountain view “. Whatever. We went out and checked out our surroundings. When we came back the smell was even stronger and we could smell it throughout the hallways, thank God it didn’t stink in our room. The bed was awful. Neither of us slept very good. The shower was like a sand blaster, and there was no way to adjust the pressure. Everything about this room was awful. I booked through IHG and contacted them about canceling the rest of our stay at this hotel and was sent a copy of their cancellation policy, ugh. So we decide to try to make the best of it for the next two nights. We didn’t get much sleep the second night either. I went downstairs around 5 am to get coffee and got locked out of my room. The nice front desk guy couldn’t get me in either, I had to wait in the stinky hall for my husband to finish his shower and hear me knocking and let me back in. They said they’d fix it that morning, but that was the final straw. We checked out and went to a much better hotel for the remainder of our stay. The front desk person didn’t ask why we were leaving early, and nobody from Holiday Inn has said a word even after leaving a similar review on their app.
