Eirasol by Umbral

This hotel really only serves a purpose for stag and hen weekends. The pool is never cleaned — the water is green, and you can’t even see the bottom. The rooms have ants, and the air conditioning units leak onto the balconies, making them very slippery and unsafe. During the stay, the rooms are not cleaned at all. The pool bar is only open on weekends. The best pool is actually at Fat Cats next door, which is amazing. Overall, not a good hotel to stay at if you’re with your family.

Second time we have stayed here and will definitely be back. Friendly and helpful staff who let us leave our bags as our apartment wasn’t quite ready. The top floor apartment was clean and bright. We knew we had to pay the £200 security deposit which we didn’t mind. These are self- catering apartments so we knew that toiletries were only supplied for the first day and we were more than happy to go in the supermarket to stock up on toilet roll/washing up liquid/rubbish bags. It was down to us to maintain the apartment which wasn’t an issue. Even though it stated towels would only be changed after 4 days, the kind staff replaced them after two days which they didn’t have to do. On the last day we made sure everything was clean and tidy, beds stripped and rubbish taken out. It is a 5 min walk to the ***** and 20 mins to Old Town. Bolt/Uber very cheap. So much to do. We will most definitely be booking the apartments again.

Great studio apartment for the money. We stayed in room 004 which had a terrace onto the pool The staff were very helpful and accommodating and when asked if they had extra blankets/hairdryer they got them immediately and took them to the room I’d definitely stay again

Checked in on the 1/10/23 The checking in was very quick as finalized my details. we were asked to pay €200 room supplement which i was on aware of it was paid. we got into the room to say i was pleased it was clean spacious and unlike some hotels the wifi worked perfect as i brought my firestick with me. Take notice i had to ask for clean towels they get changed every 4th day and bed linen every 7 days the only downfall pool was clean and plenty of beds for all The staff were friendly and very helpful Would stay again

The apartment was clean & spacious. The pool & pool area was clean with plenty of beds. The ladies & gentleman at the front desk were v helpful & informative. There were 3 supermarkets near by and Aldi a 10 minute walk away. The bakery across the road was amazing and was open early in the morning til 8/9 at night. Plenty of places to eat nearby. The only down side was that the apartment could do with new mattresses and pillows for the beds.

I'm rating the Eirasol as a budget apartment not comparing to a hotel. So I'm giving it 4* based on what it is, a cheap basic apartment. Don't let that put you off, I knew what I was booking after reading previous reviews and for the £21 a night I paid I wasn't expecting much. The room was for myself and my 9 year old son, a few days before June 2022. On arrival we were greeted nicely and checking in was very quick. Opened the room door and was surprised at how big the apartment was. It seems its had a fresh lick of paint recently too. All the apartments are the same, twin bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen area and a large living room onto a balcony. The bedroom was adequate, no thrills. Two single beds, that's it. Not the best mattresses but we managed to sleep on them. Bathroom, no really issues apart from a underpowered shower. Otherwise clean. Kitchen is what you would expect for a self catering unit, again clean. Living area had these two bed/sofas, not sofa beds. Dated and tired. The only negatives were: 1 towel, yes 1. Even though multiple people could be in the room they only give one. When I went to reception to ask for a second towel it was like I asked for a Bentley to take me to town. Further towels did appear at night. Iffy electrics on a couple of plug sockets in the lounge. The pool. Day one there was an umbrella in the pool and the water was green. Day two, umbrella in pool but maintained arrived. Day three, started to clean the pool. Day four pool looked much better and someone risked going in! The positives: 1. Super cheap apartment 2. Location is spot on, 5 mins from the ***** and 15 mins from the Old Town by foot. 3. Supermarkets literally outside. 4. Superb bakery for breakfast opposite. So there you have my review. As the famous saying goes "pay your money, take your chance". I'll come back!
