Choromar Apartments

Clean rooms, cleaners visited twice during my stay, washed floors and changed towels, but no change of bedding. That was fine with me. My criticisms are on limited equipment in kitchen. No oven, microwave, Hob and toaster only. No colander for straining veg or pasta. Ironing board supplied but no iron. No hairdryer. Beds very firm, I found them uncomfortable. The shop wasn't open during my stay, apparently only open in high season, the nearest shop was Aldi, a 20 minute walk away. I'd advise getting a taxi back if you have lots to carry. A bit far out for my liking, probably why it is the price it is. Not somewhere if stay as a solo traveller again as the walk back from restaurants is 25-30 minutes and I felt vulnerable. Again, take taxis but use metered taxis not the tourist bike type

Terrible start to our holiday. Arrived and was informed me had to pay a deposit for the safe (standard at most hotels) and the tv remote. Non of this stated on the booking. We were then informed by being shown on a map we had to walk out of the hotel and into another area and we were on the bottom floor - Room 005 32. No map was printed for us so we struggled to find it. Luckily we saw a cleaner and she let us know where we were. Shocked was an understatement - the door was through a broken gate to a building that had toilets attached to it and a storage room. The musty damp smell when entering was overwhelming as was the extreme lack of lighting. (You need a torch if you do decide to stay in this awful room) The extra pillows in what was meant to the wardrobe felt damp. The rusty safe in the wall in cupboard (wardrobe) was on the floor but there were no lights in there to be able to see and get to use it. The door had a gap underneath and had a lot of indents like people had been punching it. The gate to those apartments was not locked and the shutters on the windows could be opened by anyone so not only was the room musty and depressing it was not fit for purpose and I certainly did not feel safe in there. We informed the hotel to be told it is not damp we have had bad rain - that the lights would get brighter and she can get the cleaners to come and clean it again. Now it wasn’t dirty the building had no heating and no ventilation it was damp. The woman at reception was nothing but rude refused to put us in a mother room or even help finding alternative accommodation So £350 later we are now in a nice hotel but appalled by the accommodation they expected someone to sleep in and the total rudeness from her. They also refused to give us our room tax back which we have had to pay again Hoping for a partial refund as that room should not be given to guests

This was exactly what it said on the tin and we loved it. Spacious apartments, clean pool, all we asked for. Yes, could be updated, yes WiFi could be better. But for the price, it's brill. I will definitely be recommending and likely to return later in the year

Currently staying here and for the price we paid it’s a fab place. Staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious and have the basics that you need. A bit out the way but we prefer that. Ubers are extremely cheap if you want to explore further out. Clean and tidy and added bonus of sauna, jacuzzi and steam room on site for a small charge.

Damp smelling dark room, black mold, asked to be moved and told no, and have booked for 7 days. Management was rude and not helpful at all. Disappointing and bad start to holiday. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all if you're coming for a family holiday.

We stayed for 3 nights in an apartment a couple of floors up from the reception. Was a tiny bit apprehensive after reading some of the other reviews, but we had a fab wee time overall. I’d just like to highlight what we considered the highs and lows. Positives - Staff friendly Food was really nice, especially the breakfast. The apartment was HUGE. And really clean, apart from a load of ants that stayed about 24 hours. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Comfy bed. Air con/heating worked well ( it was a bit chilly, so we needed the heating). British TV channels. Pool area looked lovely. Just a really unique design to the communal areas with the Roman theme. Negatives - Hot water didn’t last long enough Bit far out but then Übers were easy to get. Nothing provided for doing the washing up (just a sponge and dish soap would have been great) There was a cockerel across the road which woke my partner every morning at 4am. I can see that in high season, it would take a while to get a drink from the bar. Overall, a good time though - thank you! :)
