Defo not a 5 star hotel-very dated and all mouldy seal round bath. All inclusive food not great. We had to leave a credit card copy at check in and told we wouldn’t be charged- but we were charged £100 after getting home so had to ring trip.com to sort it

Super entertainment… with good interaction between public. Never a dull moment He captures the spirit of art and entertainment 100 pct Accompanied by a lovely assistant that does her own tricks as well Time flies looking at the show… Only the soundsystem needs an upgrade!

The hotel is outstanding. Beautiful apar**ent. The staff are amazing. You can eat at several speciality restaurants if you are all inclusive...recommended! A big thank you to Marcio and Amdreia, who looked after us at the bar. Andrea, special thank you for the lovely G&T xxx

We just got back from our 5 night short break yesterday. Is the hotel a 5 star? Not by British standards but I would say it is similar to many 4 stars that we have stayed in around the world. Now that’s out of the way, for our review: The good - the room was clean & had everything we needed and more. The cleaning staff were lovely and always smiling. The pool entertainment was a good laugh even just to watch & the 4 entertainers were great. The pool bar tender Christiano (sorry if spelt wrong) was friendly & remembered us each day. The sauna was heavenly after a workout at the gym which although small does have everything you need. The lady on the spa reception whose name I didn’t catch was friendly and always said hi. The main reception staff were helpful & friendly. We went to the Piccadilly bar most nights and the entertainment was great (make sure you catch the sax player he was amazing, reminded me of an Ibiza one!) Vinicius (again probably spelt wrong so my apologies) was by far the best bartender we have come across in our travels. He truly is this hotels biggest asset in our opinion as he remembered us after our first order & had great banter while serving. Everyone we spoke to said similar remarks about him which speaks extremely highly to please so many people. As we had a night flight coming & going we missed the dinner session but they let us have dinner the day we left even after checkout which isn’t always a guarantee we have found so we were very happy about that. The bad - not even bad really but maybe some things (nit-picking really) which we thought we should mention so could possibly be fixed to make this a 5 star :) The pool itself had a few loose tiles towards the waterfall part, the spa needs some updates as it’s a bit dated and finally the bar needs more seating & the plants can block your view of the stage. All of these didn’t cause any issues but as above fixing this could mean the resort is a 5 star. For visitors bear in mind there’s a refundable 100 euro deposit, they refund it when you check out so this just something to bear in mind. Also not all drinks are part of the all inclusive but they had their version of most spirits and the lager was great! From both of us we want to say thank you to the staff for making our holiday so memorable and for going above & beyond.

The hotel itself it clean enough, nothing I can say about the cleanliness of the place, but unfortunately it goes downhill from there after that, It’s advertised as 4/5 star, no where near it, a basic 3 star is more like it, Do not book all inclusive here the restaurant is poor, very small ( probably 50 seats and the hotel has over 100 rooms so you do the maths here. The food is average nothing more ,sometimes hot or cold , The pool bar opens at 11am and has limited stuff here too, and the main bar ( The Piccadilly) is horrendous. The entertainment team try hard to get you in the mood but the management need to take some responsibility for how bad this place is, Edgar and staff on the entertainment team work hard, but it’s bad , hard to watch sometimes, again I blame management for not bringing in decent entertainment . The pool area is good but it doesn’t open up till 9am, along with the gym and indoor pool , and again there is only around 40 sunbeds , so if your not out there before 0905am you will not get a bed . The pool is freezing so no one really used it, the hotel take 100 euro deposit of you when you arrive for damages, and is returned once there satisfied you haven’t broke anything. And you have to pay for towels to use at the pool which for a supposedly 5star hotel is unheard of in my experience. There is a small area for kids games to keep them amused but honestly nothing for them in the restaurant , we arrived at 2300 hours and had booked a B+B in a deluxe suite , we were quite thirsty and hungry and ask if there was any water or something to eat, the receptionist told us to walk to the town as nothing was available, again 5 star not, All in all not as good as they think they are 3 star basic hotel, book B+B there is plenty places round about to eat and drink and at least that way you will something decent and what you want

A spotless hotel ,great staff,Rooms cleaned every day.A ten minute walk to Newtown mabey 15 minute walk to Oldtown.A lovely quiet hotel Didn't try the food here but I did not hear anyone complaining.Uber back to hotel at night cost around a fiver.If u want a quiet clean and friendly hotel this is it

My husband and I have just got back from a 3 night stay at this hotel, it was also our first time in Portugal, all of the hotel was clean, all of the staff were friendly and helpful, nice food. This hotel is also in walking distance to a beautiful beach, shops, restaurants etc. Taxi’s are very easy ( download the app Bolt) never waited any longer than 5 mins for a taxi, costing around €3.30 each time we used it. Great hotel, and great location. We will be back again one day.

My Wife and I had a 5 night stay in this hotel last week. The hotel itself is really clean and well maintained. The staff were all really helpful and thankfully they all spoke English really well. Our self catering apar**ent and had absolutely everything that we needed for our stay, and even had a dishwasher and washing machine to do laundry. Our apar**ent had two balconies that looked out onto a fairly busy roundabout, but the sliding glass doors were really well sound proofed so the traffic outside could hardly be heard once the doors were closed. The hotel is located in an area that is well served by local grocery stores and also some restaurants where we went for breakfast and dinner on a couple of occasions. The old town is just a 5 or 6 minute taxi ride away, but it is worth getting a taxi for around €5 or a tuk tuk for around €10 as there are some pretty steep hills to be climbed along the way. If you want to stay more locally, the ***** is just a 10 or 15 minute walk from the hotel. We did not dine at the hotel, nor did we use the pool or bar as we were out and about each day, but other guests told us that they were really impressed by those facilities. There is a games room where you can play video games or air hockey or play pool also. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and we would gladly recommend it to anyone that's thinking of travelling to the area.
