Delicious foods, nice stay

Stealing/Theft! So it’s a really nice hotel with food, service and the whole place. Reason I gave it 1 star is due to 1. Theft, the cleaners stole items from us. We were 4 people that witnessed when we locked the door and left the items inside the room. After the cleaners were done and we finished eating. The products are missing. We talked to reception and said that nobody wants to confess. The camera is outside my room and they don’t want to look at it. So no help. 2. Next thing is that there is wild animals inside the hotel walking in the restaurant och some of them are cats and dogs. Scratching people sometimes. 3. The shower is leaking all over the floor. From underneath and from the buildup floor to the ground. Holes in the pipes also.

My son and I and a group of Latin dancers attended the Latin Dance Festival held at this hotel from September 18th to 22nd. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. On the first day, money was stolen from my wallet while it was inside our room. A hotel staff member had entered the room to bring a blanket during our absence, and that was the only time anyone else had access. When I reported the incident to the front desk, they told me that the security cameras could only be checked in the presence of the police, and later said that nothing could be proven. The food quality was also very poor. Several members of our group, including my son, experienced stomach issues. One of my friends found a worm on her lettuce, and another person saw several cockroaches in the restaurant. Overall, I had a very unpleasant stay and do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall, the hotel is old and badly maintained. Rooms were old, outdated. Towels thin and threadbare. They would not give you extra towels. Even the trash can was rusty. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything the people next door were doing in the bathroom, bedroom, etc. My roommate had hundreds of little black bugs in her sheets that had to be shaken out every single night. The outside disco music was super loud and played until 3 AM every morning. The hallways were absolutely filthy. The elevators were unreliable and very small. The buffets were extensive, but the food was not very good. Bread was great. Toasters rarely worked. Lamb and kebabs were good. Watermelon was good. Sushi looked pretty but was disgusting. Not edible. Beef was all fat. They had these peel-top containers of water. I pulled the top off of one and it smelled so bad! Not all were like that, but some were and it was gross. Plenty of food, just not very good food. We ate at the restaurant near the beach one night. The location was nice, but the food was not very good. Nearly everyone in our group ended up with some kind of intestinal issues. The people behind the desk were very kind. The male concierge was rude and unhelpful. Price was not worth it, VERY POOR QUALITY. I would not choose to go back there ever again.
