Rødungstøl Høyfjellshotell

This hotel is not suitable for families with children!! The hotel has poor service conditions and poor comfort in the room, poor dining conditions, dilapidated bath and toilet facilities, and dilapidated outdoor areas. A tourist trap located in beautiful nature, which should have been a nice intermediate stop on the trip in Norway. We had booked a family room for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child) but got two single beds and two sofa beds and there was only a bed made for two adults. The room was in poor condition, dirty and worn. Bath/toilet was not updated in this century which meant you had the pleasure of listening to a toilet running all night and a shower device that left water all over the floor. We were asked on arrival if we wanted to eat at the hotel, to which we agreed. There was only a sign that said what the 3 dishes consisted of. No price and Not if you could settle for the main course, No alternative dishes or children's menu, high chair. The food rather tasteless, the dessert was an 80s treat The dinner was a special 'joint feeding' of the guests which started at exactly 18.30 NB! Breakfast is served FIRST from 8.30-9.30. Until then, automatic coffee can be bought for DKK 33 It is clearly seen that the hotel does not focus on several customer segments, but only people who are stuck in the 70s and 80s. Playground and play areas (locked off in the afternoon) are in such poor condition that they should not be used. Likewise, there has been no focus on maintaining outdoor areas so that you can move around safely.

Well done by Rødungstølen to keep things going so well after a difficult year. Not luxury, but the hotel works well. Great location in HØYFJELLET - in an area I love (but first stay at this hotel). A little more emphasis on simple maintenance is needed; - had a screwdriver with him so that the locking lever on the window was screwed firmly back on. The food was perfectly fine and the infection control was well adapted.
