Wonderful from start to finish! I could not recommend this hotel more. For me, it was the hotel team. The hotel community went out of their way to connect with others and genuinely seemed to care. They showed pride in customer service and expressed that they take their five-star reputation seriously. The room standard was amazing. Due to rooms being fully booked over Christmas, I needed to switch hotels for the main Christmas days. I switched to the biggest and supposedly most “ luxury “ hotel in Sousse. Honestly, the switch was not worthwhile. I realized just how exceptional the quality is at the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay. The housekeeping team visited daily providing toiletries, clean bathrobes and nice extras ( such as sweets and chocolates) to the room. Their friendly faces with their cheerful banter were a pleasure to embrace each day. The food quality was great! I do not consume meat or dairy but that didn’t make a difference, there truly is something for everyone. The fresh food selection was incredible and certainly unbeatable to those I had tried elsewhere in Sousse and Tunis. The cooks shared helpful recommendations and I tried a range of fresh local flavours. This hotel was comfortable, with a cheerful friendly team and positioned with an exceptional view of a gorgeous quiet beach. I would happily stay again, and I highly recommend the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay. I would like to extend a huge thank you to the remarkable team.

Thank you so much to the reception staff especially Rafika & Bassem they really helped and understood our sons needs who has Autism. They made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable and done everything they could to help. All the reception staff are polite, helpful and kind. Firstly maybe not for people with mobility issues as lots of steps. Staff are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Not many Brits here we were the only ones there for eight days. Meal times were fun you could have to wait a while for clean plates and some weird and wonderful food but there was always something good to eat. Only basic drinks available on AI vodka whiskey and lager. The animation team put on good shows would have been better if we knew what they were saying but visuals said enough. We enjoyed our stay but would prefer somewhere a little more touristy.

This 4-star hotel is located right next to the beach. The hotel offers rooms with views of the sea, the garden with palm trees or the large outdoor pool. Guestrooms at the Hotel Abou Sofiane all have a private balcony and satellite TV. The hotel also offers a fitness centre, a Kids' Club, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and water sports activities.

Check-In Experience: From the first day, the hotel was extremely crowded. We received the keys to our room at 4:15 PM, which was significantly late since check-in was supposed to be at 2:00 PM. We had to wait over two hours. It was noticeable that the reception treated tourists differently; they were given their rooms immediately upon arrival, but as Algerian or Tunisian guests, we were made to wait. Room Condition: We stayed in a bungalow, which was missing several amenities. The pillowcases were absent, the TV was old and broken, there was no hair dryer, and the remote for the air-conditioning didn’t work. Additionally, there was an issue with the toilet flush, forcing us to use the public restroom throughout our stay. We complained to the reception three times, but nothing was done to address these issues. Also the room was very small, with no sofa. Food: The breakfast was okay, but the lunch and dinner were disappointing. The food was not well-cooked, and the menu was repetitive, with the same dishes served every day. The lines were excessively long; for example, it took over 40 minutes just to get some fish. Also, if you go late to the restaurant you won't find anything to eat. Pool and Beach: One positive aspect of the hotel is its proximity to the beach, which was beautiful, and the pool was large and accommodating. Entertainment Team: The shows were decent, but some members of the entertainment team need to engage more with all the guests, not just the tourists. However, there were plenty of activities like aqua gym, kids' club, and ping pong, which was great. Bar and Restaurant Staff: The bar staff were good and attentive, as were the restaurant workers. Safety: The hotel’s safety was questionable. We encountered a woman who had her passport stolen while her bag was on a chaise longue by the pool. It’s essential to be vigilant with your belongings. Additionally, fights among guests were common; it wasn't unusual to witness four or five altercations in a single day. Location: The hotel's location is convenient, situated in Kantaoui. Wi-Fi : The wifi only works at the reception and it's poor. Checkout Experience: Given the late check-in, we expected a later checkout. However, a cleaning woman knocked on our door very aggressively. She was rude and impolite, to the point of almost starting a confrontation, but we chose to ignore her behavior.
