Expensive for a simple and small hotel, I would understand high price if the location of hotel is in the big city like Kobe city, Tokyo, Osaka and etc. but Akashi is a small city with nothing much. I’ve stop over only as I came from Airport and cannot travel as it is night time.

As for the location, it's a few minutes away from JR Station and you can see Akashi Castle from the window. However, I was woken up by the sound of the pump in the middle of the night and couldn't fall asleep. I asked to change rooms in the morning. When I checked in again at night, there was still the sound of the pump. Be careful if you are a light sleeper.

The homestay is located near Xiwuzi Station. There are many foods around. Just by the sea, you can see the Akashihai Bridge. At night, the bridge is lit with lights, and the waves are heard during the day. The environment is good. The staff is also very good at serving. The hotel is in a very good location, about five minutes away from the JR station. You can take the elevator up the mountain to the hotel entrance.
