The rooms at this hotel are surprisingly large—almost too spacious for comfort—but I have to commend the staff for their dedication. Despite the scale of the place, they really make an effort to provide attentive and friendly service. It’s clear they care about the guest experience, which makes a big difference.

The receptionist was rude and claimed she spoke no English. On the second to last day of my stay she instructed the housekeeper to speak to me on the phone, and informed me I was late checking out. I got dressed and went to the front desk. When I got to the front desk she told me in perfect English she had talked to ******* and I didn’t have to check out until the next day. No apology was given.

Difficult stay It was very poorly maintained. The pool was very cold as they did not heat it after all the Guadalajaran people left and over the weekend it had 20 kids in it so we did not swim. Both toilets leaked and did not flush well. There was no microwave or soap to wash dishes. The TV was static and sound was awful. Restaurant was ok - waiters were good but eggs were overcooked and pancakes were inedible. Bed was uncomfortable. One shower was unusable as the showerhead sprayed 5 sprays in all different directions. No one was there at checkout in the early morning. Will not recommend. I'm sorry - we have low expectations but this was very hard for my husband who has trouble with stairs and there were stairs everywhere to every room.

Property originally a monastery, then medical clinic, and now a hotel. It was huge rooms, like a cave, and very poor lighting. Staff very nice, and helpful. It was never updated to be a hotel, it was designed to be a monastery. Bed mattress very poor. Internet - terrible. Ended up with no hot shower. I would like a refund or credit for bad hotel. hot shower

Must stay don’t pass up this fabulous place! So far our stay has been amazing! The staff is professional but friendly. Facilities are clean, manicured and beautiful. The room is spacious, clean with all the details in place. Would highly recommend Hotel Danza del Sol to others.

Rooms were huge, clean and well appointed but dated. Grounds were very well maintained and staff were very helpful. Pool was clean but needs a few tiles replaced. I can imagine in its day it was a beautiful property. For the money it was well worth it.
