We love the view from our room on the 7th floor. The free wifi is fast in the room, around the hotel, and in the restaurant. We had buffet dinner and breakfast included room rate. We enjoyed both meals. All travelers must added meals with their room because there is no restaurant or convenience stores within 10km radius. There is a gift shop and convenience stores located inside the hotel. We recommend this hotel; and we’ll come back again.

Mainly stayed here for ski in ski out convenience to Aomori Spring Ski Resort. Hotel rooms are sizeable for Japan standards.
Got the full room and board with 2 meals provided, and buffet selection was decent variety. Lunch options there are limited choices but food is decent. There is also an onsen which was nice.

Booked for solo travel but was assigned a comfortable twin room. Bathroom is a bit small but clean. Vending machines available on the ground floor.

Although it was a great location next to the ski resort with a view of the Sea of Japan, the following points were disappointing for a resort hotel that is not cheap.
- The condensation on the windows in the room was so bad that the curtains got soaked.
- The toilet was hard to flush (stayed on the 4th floor).
- Few amenities.
- The fridge was empty (I wish they had at least water).
- You could hear voices from the next room.
- Meals (buffet plan with breakfast and dinner included).
I was looking forward to staying close to the Sea of Japan, but it was disappointing that there was no fresh local seafood.
The view from the dining area was great.
- The selection at the shop was not so good.
- There were no lockers in the large bath, which was inconvenient.
- The hot springs were good.

I visit the Rockwood Hotel once a year. I only visit in the winter because I visit the ski resort, but the quality of breakfast and dinner has improved a bit compared to last year. There is also a Korean female employee at the front desk, and this season, Aomori had a record-breaking amount of snowfall, making it a fun ski trip.
