Our stay at Hisa Posebne Sorte was a highlight of our trip in Slovenia. The location of the hotel is beautiful, in the countryside among the vineyards and outside the small town of Kodreti. The room we were given was lovely, simply but beautifully decorated and with a beautiful terrace from which to enjoy the afternoon sun and the views. Our evening started with a tasting of the wines from the family vineyard. The wines were delicious, and the conversation was far-reaching and engaging. Wine tasting was followed by a fabulous four-course dinner, with a salad, soup, main course and dessert. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. After a comfortable night in the quiet countryside, we were greeted with a breakfast of traditional Slovenian foods as well as scrambled eggs and strong coffee. Our hosts were delightful, welcoming and thoughtful. They shared that many weddings and other special occasions are held at their small hotel, and we understand why you would choose Hisa Posebne Sorte for your special event. We spent a night at Hisa Posebne Sorte during a 10-day cycling tour, and it stands out among all the places we stayed. Its relative isolation is no drawback; on the contrary, the family-run Hisa is a self-contained holiday experience. Luka entertained us with a wine-tasting session that included comments on the economy of the district, and we dined royally on a magnificent 4-course meal.

Our stay in Hisa Posebne Sorte was part of a cycling trip. We received the warmest of welcomes from the owners. We had a pre-dinner wine tasting, enjoying the delicious local wines and learning all about the area, its wines and Slovenian culture. Dinner was exceptional. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with great showers (really important when you've been cycling all day) Our bikes were stored safely overnight and we ate a delicious breakfast before setting off on our way, I'm gluten free, and Ms Sorta went out of her way to make sure I was well catered for. It was also my birthday and Ms Sorta, who is a well know folk musician in Slovenia, kindly gifted me a CD of Slovenia folk music recorded by her and her group. We could not have felt more welcome and were very well looked after during our stay

We stayed here last night on a Helia cycling tour. We were the only two guests and had a wonderful lunch, wine tasting and excellent 4 course supper with wine all at a reasonable price. A family run business with a focus on only local ingredients . Owners were excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely, comfortable, welcoming hotel in a charming little village in the countryside. You will be warmly welcomed, fed very well and enjoy a beautiful garden, vineyard, green hills and cute cows. Ask for a wine tasting in the beautiful cellar. It is the best wine and it is grown right there next to the house! The hosts are gracious and kind and the rooms are very nice.
