Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, the staff were courteous, and the room was clean and very nice. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was old and unusable, the heating didn't work and it was cold, and there was mold in the public bath.

Keikokubinado sits high above a bend of the Aga River in it's beautiful forested valley. Friendly staff offer the yukata/tatami/onsen experience in traditional rooms in a somewhat confusing complex layout of two separate buildings. If you do not have a meal plan, there is an excellent izikaya bar just 100m away that opens at 18h30, and very good self-serve coffee is available in the lobbies until 10h00. Complimentary shuttle van service from AshinomakiOnsen " Cat StationMaster" station on the AizuTadami line. I enjoyed it so much I'm rebooking for next year.

We stayed in a twin room in the annex "Kawaoto". It was very good. If you want to enjoy a magnificent view, I recommend this "Kawaoto". The twin room we stayed in was spacious enough for a couple. ◆Good points The buffet is full. It is time-based, but even adults can be full after three turns. It is far from the front desk and restaurant, but the inside of the building is not cold. There are plenty of souvenirs in the shop. The cold water pot in the room is appreciated. There is also a vending machine near the room, which was reassuring. It is easy to get confused by the paper given to you at the front desk, but the correct time to check out is "11:00". The view of the valley is magnificent from the annex "Kawaoto". The key is a turn type. It is not an automatic lock. ◆Not good points The glass door outside the private open-air bath makes a squeaking sound, so people on other floors can hear us "coming and going". We could hear the sounds from other floors. There are also parts of the room that reveal the poor construction. The pillars are misaligned. Be careful, as the toilet and bathroom doors near the entrance make a loud clanging sound when they close. The tokonoma-like alcove is probably a place to put luggage...maybe it can be used as a chair for foreigners. ◆If I had any suggestions for the hotel, I would say two. ・I think samue is more comfortable to wear as loungewear. ・Please lubricate the sliding door leading to the private outdoor bath.
