Just what we needed for a one night stay. Hotel is in a lovely renovated old building right by the old city with dining close by. Location was very important to us. Elevator & AC. Continental breakfast available. Reasonably priced, especially given location. Lovely helpful staff-- thanks Ambre & Sarah.

This hotel is right on the edge of the old city. The rooms were pretty standard, very clean and well kept up. They offered a continental breakfast in the morning which was actually a great price and very nice. Staff were multilingual and very pleasant and accommodating. 10 minute walk to the center but only 2 minutes to the best museum in town and 2 minutes to major restaurant and shopping streets.

A gem of a little hotel in the centre of Aix. Cleanliness is excellent, the staff are friendly and professional. The hotel has been recently renovated to a high standard. Rooms include new en suite facilities, coffee machine and a kettle. Parking available locally. There’s a supermarket across the road and the hotel is literally 100m from great local cafes, restaurants, boulangeries and even chocolate shops. Highly recommended.

Excellent - highly recommended. Lovely very clean well appointed room (204) Balcony overlooking the street. Not noisy as window was shut - air conditioning. Lovely shower - toiletries and hairdryer available. Shaving kit, dental kit and iron available on request. On the edge of the old town and five minute walk from Cours Mirabeau. Art deco style- very nice! We had a lovely stay. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended and we would stay again.

We had a 2 night stay in a twin room on the first floor (no balcony). The room was well proportioned and beautifully (& newly) decorated. Situated on a ring-road around the heart of the city, it was a short walk to the centre for shops, food (there is a supermarket opposite) and sightseeing. The road is busy and you can hear the road with the windows shut, but it is not a disturbance. The room has air conditioning so opening the window was not necessary. The breakfast is continental and adequate. The reception staff are very friendly & helped us sort a problem with our booking. Would definitely recommend this hotel

We stayed there for one night and we were very glad to leave in the morning. We felt cheated and disrespected and it’s a disgrace that they charged us almost 90€ for it. It looks nothing like the pictures on booking and on the hotel's website. The room looks like a space for luggage that was converted into a double room for guests. There is a window facing a wall and a door out which is to a tiny space with a fence full of spider webs and dripping air-conditions of the floors. There was no day light because it faces a wall and it feels like a dark den. On top of it there was no door in the bathroom and there was noise from the reception through the night. If it wasn’t so late when we arrived we would have looked for an alternative solution. We sent the hotel two complaint emails but they didn't even bother to answer us.

I stayed here to practice and improve my use of the French language. The staff here were really helpful and friendly and they were patient and helpful with my French. The breakfast set me up well for the day. The location is fantastic in the old centre of this beautiful city, close to restaurants and museums. I'd highly recommend people to stay here.

I stayed in Aix a few days for a conference and I chose La Caravelle because of the location and the availability of a single room at a good price. The rooms are spotlessly clean, but the amenities in the room need an upgrade. The single bed looked like a shallow pit, a phenomena that I hadn't seen for more than 20 years. The entry to the shower is very small for people of around 1.80m. Service was fine and staff very attentive. With some upgrades, I would find this hotel highly recommendable.
