I booked for one night. When I arrived for check-in, the owner asked strange and personal questions, asking me if I was planning to bring other people??? He asked me to pay €250 by credit card but he refused my card, claiming that the name written on it was different from my ID. I explained to him that on the card it was my married name and on my ID, my maiden name, I showed him my health insurance card where my married name is written and I offered to call my husband to confirm... BUT HE REFUSED AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE!!! I asked him for a refund, but he refused, telling me that I had to check with trip.com!!! (even though he was the one who refused!!!) I had to urgently find a hotel for the night. My claim on Trip.com was complicated and with a lot of perseverance I managed to recover 50€ (which does not even cover the entire reservation) I should have filed a complaint at the police station, but already too much time and energy wasted. THE PRACTICES OF THIS RENTAL COMPANY ARE ILLEGAL AND I STRONGLY ADVISE EVERYONE TO AVOID ANY RESERVATIONS FOR THEIR ACCOMMODATIONS!!!

A treasure in Aix- en- Provence
Location was excellent Centre ville. Host/ property manager was exceptionally polite and helpful. He even guarded our luggage so we could enjoy our last afternoon at La Rotonde at the end of the Cours Mirabeau before catching a very convenient bus direct to the airport in Marseilles. Paul even sold me a cloth picture on the wall to give the money to his daughter who will soon visit New York.

Not clean
The owner was kind to let us have a bigger room with a larger bed. However, the room was not clean and we left after the first night. No refund was offered for the remaining four days.

An excellent location in the heart of the historic precinct. Perfect to self cater or have a base from which to pop out and explore - any time of day or night. As an affordable, friendly option with all the facilities ond needs - I highly recommend Catherine Studios. I will return.

A really horrible stay. My room had a very bad case of bedbugs that caused severe bites all over my body. The bugs were a daily issue throughout my stay and the bites and itching were very painful. I now have permanent scaring. The owner is not truthful that about the bedbugs and will say that it’s “never happened before” when it had previously been an issue for multiple guests. I noticed dust on a lot of surfaces and areas so I see how the bedbugs grew because the room isn’t throughly cleaned. There were lots of dark rust coloured spots on the bedding that indicated that they had an issue with bedbugs before. The rooms are not professionally cleaned instead you’ll get the room cleaned by how the previous guest cleaned it themselves.

Even is they are a lot of construction works in Aix-en-Provence at the moment, a safe, convenient and quiet place where I enjoyed a lot aixoise way of living

the owner is very kind and sympathetic. the studio is large, clean and comfortable and located in a quiet area. a well equipped kitchen is available a pleasant courtyard is accessible also with tables to enjoy a meal or a tea main central market around quiet
