Nice resort with beautiful and peaceful lagoon. The bungalow is fantastic but the facilities are quite basic. No quilt on bed. There is scale in kettle so the water tastes quite weird after boiling. Restaurant is good!Breakfast including complementary hot meal order and the dinner meal is delicious. Overall this is a good resort but hope the hotel management can make more efforts in improving the room facilities.

Omg I had massage with amazing Viri at Tamanu! What an incredible lady. She shared with me island stories as well as her own. I been given beautiful full body massage. She is firm and strong as well as delicate. Perfect balance on soft bed with lovely music. Very very relaxing! Highly recommended Viri in a Day Spa! At the moment there is Xmas special $59 for one hour full body.

This resort is exactly what it says - casual luxury. From Nat the friendly barman to Jackie the head housekeeper, the staff are amazing. The accommodation is large, clean and transports you immediately on holiday. The restaurant has great food and wonderful service. Island night is a must. The restaurant team are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. On Wednesday nights there is free cocktails with the General Manager Aaron. Nat does a top job. The resort is located on a stunning beach with swimming, snorkeling and water sports. This year is our second visit and we will return. Perfect for families or couples.

The perfect end to a holiday is that you never want to leave. Tamanu Beach Resort exceeded all my expectations, I knew I would enjoy being here but I am not ready to go home. The staff are so welcoming and look after you so well. Kathleen at reception always had a Kia Orana and a smile and ensured we had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. Our Lagoonview bungalow but just right with its amenities and location. The Pacifica pina colada body wash is divine. (Room 110) The ladies who kept our rooms clean and tidy always have a smile. The lagoon is great for a swim and the infinity pool was well used. The staff in the restaurant cant do enough for you and the menu choices cater to all tastes. You have to make time for the Tamanu Day Spa. Dorothy has magic hands. I had a facial and two days later the Body Manava massage, WOW. If I had more time I would go every day. Theu also sell the Pure Fiji range. For a perfect South Pacific holiday, you have to choose Tamanu Beach Resort. I highly recommend and you wont be disappointed.

We absolutely loved Tamanu Beach and our whole family of 6 enjoyed staying there. This is truly a wonderful resort, that is not only loved by tourists but also by locals. The family that runs/owns the resort and their incredible staff truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and their love and hard work truly resonates through the entire experience. A few themes run through Tamanu beach in our experience: family, “casual luxury,” and a deep care for the guest experience. So first off, “casual luxury” is truly fitting for Tamanu Beach, and the concept of family echoes through the entire place. This is not a resort where you will get a sterilised, watered down, experience of culture and a cookie-cutter hotel where you could be anywhere in the world. Tamanu beach felt deeply rooted in the local culture with locals working and chatting with tourists, and we absolutely loved that aspect. Everyone we encountered, Aunty Nane who picked us up at the airport with warm smiles, conversation and eis, to Kathleen who welcomed us so professionally and warmly, Mi’i (who was so lovely and helpful to us on our trip) and Zianca (amongst others) who served us meals were all perfect examples of warm, friendly and helpful staff of Tamanu. The lovely Nat (who we so enjoyed chatting with) was so helpful and such a perfect example of warmth and help. The owners /directors/ managers we were blessed to meet Nick and Diane, Helen and Johno, all made us feel at home, and truly welcomed. (And you might just get lucky and hear Nick’s gorgeous singing voice, a true MC who knows how to entertain all whilst making the guests feel special)! When we first arrived we noticed the lock on our door didn't work and Paul was there within the hour to fix it, and had a lovely chat with him as well. **A little sidenote: After meeting the radiant Helen (the matriarch of the Henry family who own the resort and one of the directors of the resort) I read her book (a copy was in our room) — highly recommend the book too. An incredible story that is beautifully written!** We stayed with our four children — the kids in the family area of the resort, and the adults (me and my husband) stayed in the adult side of the resort. It was a perfect set up for us as the kids had a lovely large room, and absolutely stunning pool, and the adults had a quiet “adults-only” sanctuary and pool to escape to. The rooms were large, cleaned daily so impeccably by the friendly housekeeping staff, and the AC, screens and quality fridge/freezer were a much-appreciated bonus to the rooms. A review of Tamanu Beach without mentioning the location would be utterly incomplete. Tamanu is right on the lagoon, which is spectacular. Beautiful clear, warm water, with great snorkeling, water sports, and magnificent sunsets. Some exquisite corals (purple, branch, brain) with lots of lovely little fish of various types were seen by us all, just off the beach at Tamanu. We went to the cultural show /buffet on Sa

What an outstanding resort. Tamanu was everything and more that we were expecting. From the airport pick up to the airport drop off again 3 days later everything was simply suburb. All the staff we encounted during our stay were fantastic, the meals at the restaurant were some of the best we've had anywhere in our travels, and the prices were very comparable with other similar establishments. The lagoon beaches were stunning and the location perfect for just relaxing either by the pools or on the beach. Having pushbikes (free) and scooters for hire was a great surprise especially with the main area of town being a little way from the resort. Nick (GM) and his team have done an awesome job ensuring all guests are looked after during their stay. We will be back, that is gauranteed! Just a note to those that think this is an adult only resort: no it isn't. There are two sides to the resort, the bungalows are adults only and the rest are family units. Check before you book if you want to stay at the adults only side.

This resort goes the extra mile! Nick Henry and his team are the most welcoming and professional crew, perfect for managing our large group. From the moment you wake to the delicious included breakfast, the snorkelling and activities right out the front, the cultural dancing show, and immaculate rooms, this location ticked all our boxes! Thank you for the amazing beach bonfire dinner with our feet in the sand!
