Fairmont Mara Safari Club

Pros: location is excellent, very nice amenities, food is very good, and game drives with Moseka were also good (despite not finding a male lion). I was injured during this trip and the nurse Betty took great care while redressing my wounds. All staff were very polite. The property itself is beautiful. Wake up service and morning coffee delivery was a very nice personal touch. View of mara river and hippos grunting away will never be forgotten. Cons: disorganised staff - they didn't know we were on our honeymoon trip despite telling them in advance. Phone did not work in the room and our room was in the far wing of the property. There were a lot of staff at the property who mentioned that they are assigned to us specifically but then we had to rely on the other staff. During checkout, they couldn't figure out we had prepaid in advance. They booked hot air balloon for us on the day of checkout only to then later rush us to pack in hurry when they could have simply told us to keep our luggage ready a day in advance.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel and trip! It such an unforgettable experience. The Mother Nature is stunning with her animals! I had a dream and it came true, the stuff and the hotel made it happen! I would like to say thank you to each of you who served me there! Special Thank You Dominic and Nicholas (our guides) for doing the most important job! I came for Safari and I saw everything. We spent many hours doing game drives, learning about animals and the area ( Masai village). I also recommend night safari, different experience, exciting! I will be always sharing this hotel because it was truly wonderful! Forever grateful❤️

Fairmont mara is a beautiful property right on the mara river. Staff are so humble, and eager to solve the issues. Manager Mr William, Driver Alfred, Staff trainee Vivian, Ms Mercy made our stay memorable. The camp can do better with a Gym onside and in- tent dining options. Overall very satisfactory stay. Loved the hippo hide and Boma dinners. The Kenyan chef who specialises in Indian cuisine is exceptionally good.

Fairmont is a luxury outfit nestled at a wonderful location at a conservancy. Impecable service with all details taken care of. Spacious and well appointed rooms. Delighted with the meal services - they cater for vegetarians as well. Tge game drive vehicles are also comfortable, open sided for good game viewing.

An absolutely beautiful place to end our safari through Kenya. The location is incredible with views of the hippos on the Mara River, and the conservancy is large enough that we truly felt that we had the place to ourselves on our game drives. The tents are more luxurious than many hotels - we didn't want to leave! The food was excellent, and the service was incredible - Herman and Adan took great care of us at the lodge, and Dominick and Nicholas were excellent guides on our game drives. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Fairmont Mara as part of a trip of a lifetime and had a wonderful incredible experience. I don't even know where to begin. The service at this resort was second to none. We met our driver/s Mike/Zach when we arrived at the hotel as there were on a drive and were our driver/s throughout the trip, they were amazing, funny, warm, kind and knew where to take us they made the drives so enjoyable knowing the ins and outs of the land and where to find all the animals we were searching for. We saw everything we had hoped to see and so much more. Cheetahs, lions, rhinos, elephants, zebras etc to name just a few. we had no idea how close we would get to these animals. We then checked in to the hotel by Brian (very nice man) and got settled, we met Mary who took care of us during our stay at meal times and she was incredibly kind and warm. She really noticed all the little things that made your stay feel personal. Steve who is the GM at the property was again amazing and tentative to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Adan did our turn downs and made sure we were very comfortable in our tent. David were our bartender during our stay and made sure we had the coldest beer . It truly was like being around a group of friends sharing stories and laughs at the bar. We've never experienced such personal customer service like at the Fairmont Mara. All the staff go out of there way to say (Jambo) HELLO, Biggest smiles greet you . On the last night we came from the afternoon drive for drinks and our meal, Mary our host for meals said can you come with me, we were greeted with a private deck dinner, our own chef, Mary as our server and a nice man tending a fire. This was a thank you for our stay, never know such care and friendly people. We were overwelmed leaving this place, everyone felt like family and the trip seemed too short. I wouldn't blink in recommending this truly stunning location.

First time in Kenya. What a start. Fantastic location. Fantastic safari club. Food top quality. Staff very attentive. The luxury tents were nothing short of luxury. Everything you need in a tent. Green lush gardens to walk around. Not forgetting the hippos. Grazing and occasionally making noise! Our tent was just outside where the hippos would come and relax. Lovely to sit and watch them whilst having a cup of tea. Thankyou Fairmont for our first experience of Kenya and Maasai Mara.

This lodge is all inclusive and good value. Food was delicious, staff warm, friendly and helpful, and nothing beats a pod of sleeping hippos on the riverbank outside your room. Tents were luxurious and the safari were absolutely incredible. I would mention people by name but everyone was fantastic and I would hate to miss anyone. Loved my experience and should have spent more time here. Outstanding.
