Big slow check in. Given ground floor room (15) smells of damp. Black mold on walls and in bathroom. This premier inn is in need of renovation not a lick of paint and new carpet. Chef and brewer attached, no staff. 2 people for a full bar. Bar person would not make cocktails that were on the menu. 2hrs for steaks and they looked like they had been on the grill for that time too. Breakfast service just the same. Next day I had paid for breakfast but opted for McDonald’s across the carpark. I would say stay elsewhere but your options are limited.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during our York and Yorkshire trip. The hotel is well located if you are driving, with links to all major roads, town and cities. On arrival at the hotel, my first opinion (which last..) is that the hotel looked somewhat tired and in need of some attention.. We arrived around 1 hour before the documented check-in time, and were advised that our room was ready, but it we wanted to check in early there would be a £10 charge… really? We were informed at check-in that if we wanted the room to be cleaned, and if we also wanted clean towels, that we would need to inform reception in the morning.. Again, really?? This is 2024… and I appreciate we all need to look after our precious planet, but this doesn’t mean we have to slip back a couple of generations to get our rooms cleaned, and to have a fresh towel.. Totally pathetic process, which failed on day 2 as I asked for both ‘treats’.. and when we returned to our room after a long day out, found the fresh towels literally ‘dumped’ in the bathroom, with the bed unmade, and used tea/coffee cups not removed/replaced.. We came to Premier Inn expecting a ‘Premier’ stay, but with service like this, this hotel should maybe be named as a ‘Basic Inn’ with very basic services…

Staying at the Premier Inn on business for 8 weeks. Rooms are modern and clean, staff are friendly and helpful. High 5 to Eleanor for helping our group resolve some booking issues, a very professional and knowledgable person who went above and beyond to ensure our group had a fantastic stay at the Premier inn in Goole. Highly recommend.

Yet another great visit to this Premier Inn over Easter. The only problem was that they have taken the settees/sofa beds out of the rooms for some reason. We only had one chair in our room and we used to like relaxin on the settee, so we asked the lady on reception if she could do anything for us. Marie Foster went above and beyond to find us a comfy chair, bless her. She was very helpful and a credit to the Premier Inn.

Evie in the restaurant was so good. Thanks so much for your help and advice. She’s a brilliant person to have in your company. I’d employ her myself! I was so happy that she went out of her way to help me out and she really made my time here. Thank you!

A group of 26 recently stayed at this hotel and I was so happy with the whole stay and experience. Prior to our trip I had multiple calls and emails with the hotel about our stay, which was very helpful. At check in, it was organised and Marie was super friendly and helpful. We also used the restaurant for Breakfast and dinner and the staff, service and food were faultless. Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights over Easter and had a lovely stay. We have stayed here before a few years ago. Marie at Reception gave us a fab warm welcome and had a laugh with us at check-in and got us some extra towels the following evening. Marie also booked us in for breakfast. It was about a 40 min drive into York which suited us and one of the days we even took a trip to Bridlington where the kids had fun at the fair and we all enjoyed fish and chips by the sea. There is a Brewers Fayre next door which was okay for a drink and was attached to the PI. Within a 30 second walk was also a petrol station, Subway, McDonald's and a shop. Plenty of parking. Only slight downside was no air con in the room and with 4 of us in there it would have been good to have it, but at least the windows opened. Overall, another good stay here and we shall no doubt return again.

The premier inn at Goole was a fantastic experience. The staff are amazing. We ate in the attached restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. The food was amazing and the service was very prompt. Can't fault them in any way. I even managed to lose an earbud in the restaurant. Of course, I didn't realize it till I came back home to Sunderland. The lovely Marie at reception could have not been any more amazing. She agreed to drive into Selby where my son lives and post it through his letterbox. That's certainly a 5* service. Thank you so much. We will stay again soon. xx
