Wow, the cuisine was wonderful. Staff so courteous and kind. Not distant and aloof but engaging and humorous. Always willing to help and help we needed so very grateful to them all. Beautiful village a short walk away and far enough to no noise.

We stayed here for two nights part way through our walking holiday. A charming hotel in a lovely location overlooking Ainhoa. The owner was very welcoming and everything ran very smoothly. He and the staff clearly pride themselves on the standard of service. Our room was very comfortable with a good sized bed and a balcony with views over the town. A large pool with plenty of loungers made for a very relaxing afternoon. Dinners were very good and the complementary appetisers and petit fours made it feel a quality experience. One of the best breakfast offerings of the trip although stick to the coffee rather than tea. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the picnic provided for our walk was also excellent.

The hotel is lovely - very tastefully furnished with good quiet spaces and a great pool. It's just on the edge of town and very quiet. The rooms are ok - nothing special, but they're not really the main attraction. That's the restaurant. Spectacular. Fancy a glass of 1893 Armañac? You can have one, if you're prepared to pay for it! And the service was great too. We'll be back.

This hotel in picture postcard Ainhoa is a lovely old typically Basque building and its interior is almost like a museum. The rooms are functional and clean but our happiest memory was eating dinner overlooking the pool which is a treat - the food is excellent and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. One major advantage is that you can park in the hotel grounds and then it’s a short walk into the centre of Ainhoa where parking is more limited. The location is ideal for visiting Biarritz, St Jean de Luz or even Pamplona as the Spanish frontier at Dancharia is only a few kilometres away with its array of huge Benta (supermarkets) and cheaper fuel.

Beautiful traditional Basque hotel in a stunning location. The staff were great and the owner was so informative about the area. Food was of a high very high standard. They also have a pool so, an afternoon poolside looking at beautiful scenery is recommended.

Lieu d'exception, tout est parfait de l'accueil, la qualité du service et une cuisine raffinée. Légèrement en retrait du magnifique village de Ainhoa, vous y passerez un excellent séjour. C'est la troisième fois que nous y allons et sûrement pas la dernière. A consommer sans modération.

Bel endroit, très calme et chic, excellant restaurant gouteux, petit déjeuner de qualité. Gros bémol, j'avais réserver une chambre PMR, je me déplace exclusivement en chaise roulante, mais grande fut ma déception au vu de la salle de bain, impossible me rendre sous la douche, vu l'étroitesse du passage, j'ai du me déplacer, de tabouret en tabouret, aidé par mon épouse, je ne comprends pas que cette chambre ait la dénomination PMR, alors qu'elle ne l'est pas. Pourtant le prix n'est pas négligeable.

Hôtel situé dans un cadre idyllique, au calme mais à proximité de tous les incontournables de la région. Grand parking gratuit. Très bel établissement ancien mais les chambres sont climatisées. Une belle piscine que nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu tester compte tenu de la pluie et des 17° extérieur en plein mois de juin. Les chambres sont grandes un petit regret néanmoins l'absence de machine à café et/ou de bouilloire dans les chambres. Si non tout est parfait, la literie est bonne et nous avons passé une excellente nuit, réveil un peu tôt néanmoins par les camions de livraison juste sous notre fenêtre. Le petit déjeuner buffet n'offre pas de plat chaud mais d'excellents œufs de ferme sont proposés avec une cuisson à la minute. Le produits d'excellente qualité, locaux et fait maison sont privilégiés ce qui rend ce buffet beaucoup plus attrayant que ces immenses buffets des grands groupes hôteliers. Un gros plus et un grand merci pour nous avoir permis de déguster ce bon lait de vache que l'on ne retrouve malheureusement plus sur les buffets d'aujourd'hui ou l'UHT prime. Adresse incontournable dans la région. Nous reviendrons sous le soleil.
