My husband and I needed to travel to the Aiken area this fall for work. We typically stay in the larger chain hotels, but saw The Willcox in my TripAdvisor search for the area. I’m SO glad we decided to stay! The hotel staff of The Willcox is amazing! They were so helpful and made our stay memorable. From the special bath add-on with camomile tea, candles and lavender, nightly turn down service and the most amazing meal at the hotel restaurant, it was all perfect. We have already booked another night at The Willcox when we return to the area.

Hi we visited The Wilcox because my family lives here in Aiken. Wr had a lovely time visiting. The historical hotel was charming. We had Christmas Eve dinner here and Stephanie from Italy was the most amazing server. She accommodated us and made us feel welcome and at home. She was amazing!! Made our dinner special. We will definitely visit The Wilcox again.

The Wilcox continues to level up with new services like high tea and brunch on Saturdays. This was our second overnight visit, so we booked the private couples spa and dinner package. We enjoyed supreme service in a very private setting. Great care has been given to improve landscaping and extend seating on their gracious southern porch. The garden style pool is sporting new furniture, making for a peaceful oasis to enjoy our iced coffees in the afternoon. We were very spoiled in the Whitney Suite on the 3rd floor, with 2 working gas fireplaces. The staff is attentive and anticipates guests needs. Highly recommend for restful getaway, "Quiet the Mind, and the soul will speak."

We enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Beautiful antique bar, comfortable chairs and sofas for additional seating in lounge, rocking chairs on charming porch , and tables covered with white table cloths in dinning room. Food was excellent and service above and beyond . Our room was spacious and very welcoming . Aiken is a small town well worth visiting !

Our son gave us a gift card and we decided to spend our anniversary at the Willcox. We stayed in a premium room which was very large and included lots of windows for natural light. The bathroom was equally large and included a soaker tub. The room includes a small refrigerator and even a sewing kit. However, there were a few drawbacks to our room. It was located on the front directly above the valet and entrance so we could easily hear people talking. Also, the front is lit up at night which meant our room was very bright even with the thick curtains pulled. Our first morning we were awakened before 8 by a leaf blower and the next morning by a loud work truck. Perhaps earplugs and sleep masks should be included for this room. My husband added on the bath enhancement that included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Those were delicious. The bath didn’t look like the advertised picture. It was supposed to include 2 rose scented towels that we never found. It just didn’t relax me as I had hoped. Keep in mind people were taking outside which just made for a weird experience. We might return and ask for a room in another area.

Hi! I am a young solo traveler that's actually local to the area. I enjoy hotel experiences and supporting small businesses. So, I was interested in seeing how my experience would go with a place so close to me. Honestly, it's pretty average to me overall. Positives: The rooms are very well decorated and set up, the linens are super nice and very comfortable. Definitely a plus for sure was just how plush everything was. The food I think it was good and not over priced, I had lunch(steak salad), dinner(lamb pops) and breakfast (BLT), all very good. Negatives: I signed up for a aromatherapy tub soak and massage. I arrived on time and still had to fill up the tub myself(which not sure if thats normal), my massage was fine. The drinks served at the bar were not good and I couldn't finish them at all. The pool was kind of maintained and there was a smell of garbage coming from behind the fence. I could be wrong and misreading but, I was a single female traveler and was given minimum interaction. It's kind of a bed & breakfast but, also not. Seems more like it caters to locals that go there regularly. Just my opinion, wouldn't go again or really recommend it but, people seem to like it who go regularly.

First class experience from arrival to departure! Comfortable and spacious rooms. We enjoyed an excellent meal at the restaurant on our night of arrival. Breakfast, included in room rate, was well prepared and generous. The Willcox has a comforting patina and a hospitable vibe. This was our first time, we'll surely return.

We had a wonderful experience, as we always do when dining at the Willcox. The food and service is always impeccable and we truly enjoyed our service from Stephanie. She made our dinner even more special. It’s so refreshing to be greeted by all the staff in such a friendly and professional manner.
