We’ve drunk in here before but this time we ended up eating as well because the restaurant we were going for was booked up. Frankly that wasn’t a bad thing, it was lovely. The restaurant is a bit posher than the bar, the food was excellent and the service friendly and attentive. Dessert was fab and though we were rather full we still managed to eat it. Highly recommended.

Just come back from having a really beautiful meal experience at the Hotel du Berry, Aigurande. Started of with a fillou pastry encapsulating local goats cheese roundel with herbs and honey plus salad dressing; The main course was a Tournedos de boeuf, the filet steak (great quality meat) was gorgeous and topped off with black peppercorns and sea salt, served with mashed potatoes and onions plus an intense dark sauce - YUMMY. Then a platter of local cheeses accompanied with house red; my other half had a Rum Baba with an actual pipette on rum. She LOVED it. Highly recommended...

Hotel familial dans une belle bâtisse ancienne avec un excellent accueil au cœur du petit village de Angurande Ce soir la le restau sur place était fermé mais a deux pas le bistrot saint Antoine tient toutes ses promesses.... Une belle soirée etape a Angurande....

Véritable Institution dans cette ville pittoresque de l'Indre à la frontière de la Creuse, l'Hôtel du Berry n'a jamais failli à sa réputation gastronomique. L'accueil est courtois et bienveillant, la salle de restaurant magnifique et le service réalisé par la Propriétaire est sans attente et digne des grandes tables Françaises. En outre les prix sont très abordables. Entrée, plat, fromage et dessert pour moins de 15 Euros. La cuisine est raffinée, faite maison à base de produits locaux et le dressage est parfait, Pour ma part un méli mélo de crudités au museau émincé, une Julienne à la provençale, impasse sur le fromage car déjà rassasié et un crumble. La carte des vins présente un large choix de toutes les régions. Le Chef Propriétaire quitte sa cuisine pour venir vous remercier de votre visite, recueillir votre impression et vous saluer lors de votre départ. Y aller restera pour nous un rituel à chaque séjour dans la région.

Très bon repas, produits frais, locaux, très bien cuisinés, les desserts sont renversants. Le cadre est très agréable, avec un côté "classique" réconfortant . L'accueil est très bien aussi, souriant, sans chichis. Le rapport qualité prix est imbattable !
