During our first trip to Sicily I had the pleasure of staying at international luxury hotel chains such as the Four Seasons and Belmond so I was looking to try an Italian brand instead for our recent visit. Although I was recommended Rocca Forte hotels, I chose Adler after hearing great things from a local Italian friend who'd been a few times (Adler has beautiful properties in the Dolomites and Tuscany which I've visited before). Not only did the hotel look beautiful but it was extremely well priced and I liked the fact it was off the beaten path in the more rustic Agrigento area. The property itself is relatively new having opened pre-Covid. The rooms are super modern, chic and spacious, and the grounds were simply stunning with expansive 360 degree views of the ocean. The sunsets in my opinion rival those in Santorini anyday! I loved the entire set up - from the pool, wellness area and gym to the private beach club which is a 7-8 minute walk away (its easy to go down but a moderate climb on the way back so you can opt for the electric shuttle if you are feeling lazy). On some says the ocean was a little rough swimming but the beach feels very private as it is located in a nature reserve making it all the more special. The hotel has also erected a deck with loungers plus a snack area with fresh sandwiches and even gelato. There are also fridges stocked with complimentary sparkling and boxed still water which was a nice touch. Best part of it all, was that it was well staffed with a super attentive team. The rate included breakfast as well as dinner which I would usually be apprehensive about as I am a fussy eater and not a fan of buffets. The quality here however was top notch with so much variety on offer, including a comprehensive list of a la carte dishes (you could choose as many as you like and the portions were just right - not too small not too big!). I usually like to try local restaurants but the food was so good that we ate all of our meals at the hotel for the entire stay (even those not included in the package were extremely reasonable priced which is a rarity in Sicily). Above all the staff were just incredible. Every call or request was handled super efficiently - in fact there were times where certain staff members such as Stefano and Emanuele in the restaurant or Luca in reception - would anticipate our needs before we even asked. The tour recommendations were also great and reasonably priced. Our private tour guide at the valley of temples previously worked there as an excavator so had incredible insights which we loved (he was also efficient and fast which we appreciated!) We barely left the hotel and it was so worth it! Thank you to the entire team for an incredible stay.

Spectacular location. Great service including an electric buggy every 5-10 minutes up and down to the beach. Great sandwiches at the beach. Kayaks and SUPs provided for use at the beach. Having stayed at other Adler resorts, this is the favourite.

This is one of the nicest luxury resorts from a physical, architectural and landscaping point of view. The rooms and the grounds are stunning as are the pools, relaxation areas, gym and restaurants. The service is also top notch. BUT, as great as everything is - and it pains me to say this - the FOOD is mediocre at best. The food is a huge disconnect for a great resort. The food ranged from ok to inedible. Unripe kiwis, soggy cashews, completely under-cooked steak, inedible fish dishes. You are not eating in Sicily here- you are eating at a U.S. country club that needs to reorganize its food department! We stayed at 3 places in Sicily - this was the nicest facility with - by far - the worst food. Hopefully, they can bring it close to the level of the rest of the experience which is world class.

We stayed for a week in June in 2025 and we had a lovely time, the hotel is very relaxing and for anyone looking to chill out for a week and not leave the hotel you will no doubt have a lovely time. But… for €1,000 p/night the hotel competes with the likes of six senses and four seasons (among others) and the quality of service and overall experience - in my opinion - is better at these hotels so value for money wise I would recommend a six senses hotel over the Adler Sicily. The hotel does lots of things well. For example the food, the spa, the rooms, the vistas, the design snd layout of the hotel, sustainability, the service and the activities. But things this hotel does not do so well: - dining experience, you all eat in the same very large unfurnished room each night. Makes you feel like there are hundreds of you sharing the same experience. Very good hotels that are large do an exceptional job of making big hotels seem small by having a number of different pools, relaxation areas, beaches and restaurants. The same restaurant each night makes every day feel the same and makes you feel like one of 200 rather than one of 50. Plus the dining room itself is white tablecloth which makes you feel like you’re on a cruise ship or a corporate golf weekend. there is a buffet that complements the food at night and again, my personal opinion of buffets is that it downgrades the overall quality of food and the experience. Don’t get me wrong, the food the kitchen serves is of an excellent standard but the portions should be larger to negate the need for the same buffet every night. - the beach, it feels a little underwhelming. Don’t expect luxury beds and umbrellas like you would at a 5 star resort. It just feels like they’ve dropped some beds on the beach and that’s it. And again, because there is only one beach and one pool area the hotel can feel very busy during the day particularly if everyone decides on the beach or its 5pm and everyone is coming back to the pool from the beach. - service. Generally very good and no complaints at all from anyone but at luxury 5 star resorts they often go out of their way to make it even more luxurious. For example, when you arrive at the beach or pool someone greets you and makes up your bed for you and staff come over regularly to provide water. You don’t get this at the Adler and while I’m not certainly not expectant of this, I’m merely making the point that other hotels provide this level of service for the same price (and cheaper), and the Adler does not. All in all though it is a very good hotel but for me the price tag is reflective of it being in the top bracket of ultra luxurious 5 star and it isn’t quite there. if you are looking for a relaxing week in the sun in a wellness type hotel that’s on the coast then a six senses resort will trump this for the same price (if not cheaper) e.g. six senses kaplankaya in turkey.

We had been to this area twelve years ago and the newly opened (at that time) Verdura resort and decided to come back since there was the new Adler and we were looking to a place with indoor pools because we have a child. The place is literally in the middle of nowhere BUT in a beautiful stretch of pristine nature. The resort is designed to be 100% green since it is located in a reserve protected by the WWf. It is beautiful! The setting is magnificent, you get the view on the sea more or less everywhere. We went in February and it was cold. The indoor pool and the heated pools were a very nice treat. All the facilities are brand new. Since everything is “open” you feel the link with nature everywhere. The only concern is that we should see how the place will be in ten years as three years after the opening you can already see the effects of wear in many little things. Also, since many things are open air, this is not so comfortable in winter (like crossing cold corridors or open spaces to go everywhere). Nevertheless, the room was large and modern with excellent design. Food was delicious and very generous…we actually gained 3 kgs in 4 days! Last but not least, the staff is incredible. Clearly the best we have ever found and definitely the true highlight of the resort: they are all very proud of the place, all locals, hard working, very service minded in an authentic way; they really are the image of the generous soul of Sicily. We cannot name all of them as they were all wow, from the receptionists to the maids, to the pool guys, the barmen, the valets, the restaurant crew…but we can remember Deborah and Gianvito at the restaurant. There are many nice hotels, many nice resorts around the world and even on the island. But the people working at the Adler make it really unique!

Relaxing break at Adler Resort Sicilia
This is an amazing place for relaxation . The surrounding and the way the resort is played out is amazing . The room is super comfortable and big with nice view of either sunset and sunrise depending on the room . The restaurant and food is fantastic . The option for half board is a really good choice . Spa and sauna are set overlooking the nice sea view . Overall this place is fantastic
