Pictures Suites

My wife and myself - on this occasion accompanied by my brother and his partner - are, after a 15 month absence, again holidaying in Corfu. We have just spent the last fortnight at our favourite Hotel Pictures Suites in Agios Stefanos. It was our 4th visit and we were again greeted - and indeed treated throughout our stay - like family members. It is something to be both experienced and seen to be believed and it came as no surprise when a fellow guest - who had spent many years in the travel business - that this was one of the best properties she had ever stayed at!! What was particularly nice was to see all the ‘regulars’ again (Nea, Michaelis Christos & Suchu) as well as the new members of the team (Dora, George & Lisa) who not only all made us (including my brother and his partner) most welcome but helped us celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary! All in all, it was another lovely stay - with my brother and myself walking an average of 10 miles a day in the nearby hills - and one that we very much look forward to repeating next June for my Birthday!!

This was our second visit to Picture Suites, and we are so glad we came back. We had such an amazing welcome from all the staff - Nia, George, Dora and Lita who couldn’t do enough to ensure that we had the best stay possible. They were so welcoming and friendly, everything was just perfect. It was my birthday during our holiday and Nia surprised me with the most amazing cake, and sang happy birthday to me in Greek. It was just such a lovely gesture. The breakfasts are amazing - really delicious with a great variety to choose from, and sitting by the pool just felt so relaxing. A great way to start the day. The rooms are superbly located, just a few minutes walk down to the beach, where beds, towels and water are free for hotel guests. The beach is really lovely and the sea was perfect. We alternated between beach and pool most days. As the hotel has only 7 apartments, the pool never seems to get busy and is a calm oasis. The apartments are large, and very comfortable. We stayed in a senior suite on the ground floor, and found it to be extremely clean, and well cared for. The cleaning lady (Sofia?) was lovely, and our room always looked incredible. The village of Agios Stefanos is very beautiful, with an incredible choice of really good restaurants at reasonable prices, some on the beach, with the more traditional Greek restaurants in the village itself. I would definitely recommend Manthos, Zorbas and Cicala restaurants. We loved Picture Suites so much we are already planning a return trip. Thank you Nia and your lovely staff for making our stay so incredible - and for making it so hard to say goodbye. We will see you again soon xx

We absolutely loved our stay at Pictures Suites. It is the most beautiful place, the views are spectacular and the rooms are so comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean, one of the best on the Island I’m sure, if not the best. They have everything you could need for your stay. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome from our lovely hosts, and I could immediately feel myself start to decompress! It is so relaxing here and I felt so at ease. Nia and her team also welcomed us with complimentary drinks, fruit and a bottle of wine, which was a lovely treat. We were blown away with our room and the spectacular views of Agios Stefanos beach and the Diapontia Islands. The sun sets magnificently over the islands every evening, not to be missed! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, the special omelette is highly recommended. We did not eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast, lunches and snacks were perfect and reasonably priced for such a beautiful hotel. Bottled water, more than you could ever need, is provided complimentary by the hosts. The most special thing about Picture Suites is the staff. The host Nia and her team are beautiful people, so genuinely kind, friendly and warm. They went above and beyond to help us on a couple of occasions and I will never forget it. This makes all the difference. Agios Stefanos itself is a beautiful place. A little further away from most of the other more popular resorts and an hours drive from the airport. I would recommend that you rent a car if you can to get about and really explore the area, however you would need to be very confident with driving on the right and with narrow bendy roads. I was worried at first that my two teenagers would be bored as it’s a quiet resort, but they absolutely loved the chilled out atmosphere, the pool, beautiful beach and lovely restaurants. We also did a boat trip from the harbour and took a taxi to Corfu town to explore the beautiful sights there for the day. We would highly recommended our taxi driver Spiros, whom Nia could put you in touch with if you are staying in Pictures Suites, he showed us some gorgeous places on the way home from Corfu town and had excellent local knowledge. His prices were also more reasonable than the transfer company we used. We loved Pictures Suites, nothing could have been better and we cannot wait to return one day. Next time hopefully in the master suite! Which if you can book, then do. It is out of this world! A huge thank you to Nia, Dora, George, Litsa, Christos and the entire Pictures Suites family for a holiday to remember.

Such a beautiful, small, family run business. Incredibly warm and welcoming, price includes breakfast beside the pool every morning (I thoroughly recommend the Greek omelette!). Just a truly wonderful hotel, would definitely stay with them again!

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Pictures Suites in Agios Stefanos, Corfu. We had such an amazing time I felt it deserved an immediate review! We had originally booked this wonderful hotel as a 25th wedding anniversary for June 2020. Unfortunately the pandemic meant that this was not possible. My husband contacted Pictures Suites, and they were wonderful. They offered a credit or an indefinite extension so we could rebook when the world was more normal. We chose the latter and went at the end of June/beginning of July. Communications from Nia were prompt and professional, and the whole transaction was so smooth. The hotel is fantastic, we stayed in room 120, which is a first floor apartment with a sea view balcony, a fantastic bathroom, small kitchenette, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! The room was spotless, each room is deep cleaned before guests arrive, and is cleaned whenever you require it. The rooms are very modern and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is served at the poolside bar. The choice is really good - my husband had the omelettes (Greek, Special, Cheese or even with frankfurters!). I opted for Greek yoghurt and honey with pastries. Lots of choices of cereal and drinks too. Huge praise to Kostis and Mary who served breakfast, ran the reception, served drinks round the pool, supplied fresh beach towels - even on one occasion mowed the lawn! They were unfailingly smiling and really welcoming and friendly. As we had originally booked through Secret Escapes, we were entitled to a meal at the hotel - we opted to have it on the balcony of our apartment. The food was wonderful, served by Kostis - an amazing evening. There is a large pool, very well designed, and very quiet as there are only 7 apartments in the hotel. Most afternoons we had the place to ourselves for several hours, relaxing and eating the delicious fig ice cream served from the pool bar. The beach is accessed via some steps and is beautiful. The hotel supplies loungers free to guests on the beach. We were given a free bottle of ice cold water when we arrived at the beach every morning which is a wonderful gesture. There is also a beach cafe which is worth a visit - the watermelon and feta salad is delicious. We had the best time - everyone was so friendly, and genuinely wanted our stay to be the most wonderful experience - which it was! We are already planning a return visit next year.

After our visit last July, my wife and myself are holidaying in Agios Stefanos again and are rapidly coming to the end of another most enjoyable 12 night stay at Pictures Suites. On this occasion, we stayed in the Master Suite (immediately above the Presidential one - same layout but without the swimming pool!) which has panoramic views of both Agios Stefanos beach and the surrounding areas. No problems at all on the accommodation front - indeed it was good to see the majority of the other 6 suites occupied throughout our stay. Even so, there was no shortage of space at the lovely swimming pool at the front of the property which my wife made good use of. The most enjoyable part of our holiday, however, was seeing Michaelis, Nea and their team (some new faces including Costis & Mary) again. They are all delightful and couldn’t have been more welcoming - Nea even took Barbara and myself to one of the nearby Villages to have our respective hair cuts.. We are also all going out for a farewell Dinner this evening which is lovely way to conclude our visit. I purposely say latest visit as we shall certainly be back again next year and I would certainly have no hesitations in recommending others to try out the delights of Picture Suites for themselves. Rest assured, you won’t be disappointed!!
