Proteas Hotel & Suites

We stayed for 10 nights and the hotel is absolutely perfect. Very clean, beautiful design of rooms. Excellent friendly service by a lovely family. The location is great, 10 mins walk to the beach and restaurants although the hotel food and pool is exceptional too. It really is the gem of Naxos and we hope to return.

The location of the hotel is excellent – quiet yet central. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive; you can tell it’s a family-run business. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, as was the pool. The entire property is designed with great care and invites you to relax. I’d gladly come back!

This is a great hotel. The people are very helpful. The food is reasonably priced and just as good as any outside restaurant. Beautiful spacious room, we had a junior suite with a balcony looking out over the ocean and town. It is a 5 minute walk to the bus that goes to Chora every 30 minutes, and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The beach at the end of the path is a lot less crowded than the ones closer to the town. Plenty of sun beds to rent for the day. Perfect place to stay, away from the beach crowds, and the town, but easy to get to both.

We enjoyed our stay there very much, in a beautiful furnished room with a modern bathroom, in a perfectly clean complex with very friendly stuff and services, that left nothing to be desired for us. This hotel is very recommended. We plan to book this hotel again next year.

My stay at Hotel Proteas was outstanding! The hotel is immaculate and every detail is well looked after by the family that owns and runs the hotel. They were so kind and accommodating but non-intrusive. The hotel is a short walk to the beaches and restaurants. The hotel also serves delicious local fare! The view from the balconies is lovely complete with direct sunset views. The area is quiet and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. It was one of my overall favorite hotel experiences in Europe! Enjoy!

This was our favourite place we stayed at during our tour of the Cyclades. It’s located between Naxos Old Town (Chora) and the main beaches including Plaka. Both can be reached by bus or should I say comfortable coaches. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You can buy the 2 euro tickets from reception. Chora is about a 15-20 minute journey and the beaches 10-15 mins by bus. The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk. During the time of our stay the buses were running every half hour. We also used the bus to go to the port for our ferry. Taxi from outside the port to the hotel was 25 euros. The hotel is very attractive and feels like a very little village and had beautiful colourful planting. We were staying in a suite with a hot tub which afforded views of the sea and sunset. Our room (#5) was very roomy and comfortable. There is a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle and sink. We ordered breakfast most days and had it brought to our room and one evening we stayed in and had a light dinner brought up- fab. There is also an extensive second hand book library in reception - thank you to previous guests! The family and staff running the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The overall vibe from fellow guests was also friendly.
