Vasia Ormos Hotel (Adults Only)

We had a lovely holiday here, the staff are the stars of the this hotel, they are very polite and provide excellent service. The hotel is very quiet but this was great for us, no sunbed rush and always some available, we preferred the pool that overlooks the bay, nice view and a bit more space. The breakfast was good and plenty of choice but we had one evening meal and was pleased that we were not half board. It wasn't great to be honest. As everyone has said, the walk into Ag Nik is about 25 minutes but cabs are always outside or hotel can call one for you. Couple of nearby restaurants and bar closer by, we found KriKri the best of the bunch. Our room was nice, we had space and lovely view of the beach, bed changed daily and beach towels available but did have to ask a couple of times for them to be changed. The cleaners do an excellent job! We had a constant noise from downstairs, like a generator or something but got used to it after a couple of nights, the view from the room made up for it! Lovely little beach opposite, a few sunbeds but not just for hotel guests, you can swim there just mind the boats! Overall, I was happy with this hotel, if you want good service, nice views, quiet and relaxation, this hotel would be a very good choice.

The hotel in itself was very acceptable Clean and tidy with friendly staff and reception. Our room was cleaned and bed made every day with a flower laid on it . Two bars (one pool bar). Great location for our needs and excellent Taxi service at the door .The taxis are immaculate and very reasonable cost. Rooms are small and basic but meet the needs for a week. We stayed in 108 which had a constant irritating background noise which would build up to a crescendo every few minutes. To tired at the end of the day to here it at night luckily. Would i stay here again Yes just not room 108.

Recently returned from a 10 night stay. Our experience at the hotel is similar to other reviews. The public areas were stylish and spotlessly clean. We had no complaints about our room which was on the ground floor. It had ample space, clean with a decent bed. The hotel is on the outskirts of the town, the area is very quiet and it took us around 25 min to walk to the centre. There is a bus and taxi for those who wouldn't fancy the walk. We did not use the restaurant or bar in the evenings. Few used it because of the cost of food and drink. I think the owners should review their prices as I sure more residents would eat and drink there. We would highly recommend Stavros Taverna turn right at the gate and a short walk. Run by Maria and her family very entertaining with great food Our other recommendation is Avra a 15 min walk towards the town. Run by 2 brothers and their families. Lovely guys serving quality food, we ate there most nights. Finally there is a well stocked supermarket near Stavros Taverna, it has everything!!

We stayed here for a week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and the cleaners were absolutely fantastic, the rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. The 2 pools are on the smaller side but very quiet with plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel is located a 25 minute stroll from the town centre, enjoyable in the evening but would be tough during the heat of the day. Taxis are available from receptions, and cost about 7/8 euro each way. There is a large shop a 5 minute walk away that had everything we needed. The beach attached to the hotel was small and quiet, with plenty of sunbeds available. We rented a car out through the hotel, and this was an easy process that didn't require a deposit, we would highly recommend. The breakfast buffet was great, with plenty of options. However, we were disappointed with the dinner buffet options. We ate here on the first night and didn't enjoy the food, so instead opted to walk into town and eat dinner at the tavernas here instead. The snack bar at the pool is also very expensive, 7 euros for a small domestic beer, and 16 euros for a basic sandwich. We would recommend buying drinks and food from the local shop, as there is a fridge in the room. The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful, we can't fault them. We would definitely stay here again. One of our favourite parts of our trip was a tour of the olive oil farm located 10 minutes from the hotel, which was only 7 euro per person, and included a tasting of the products. Overall, we would recommend this hotel highly, but we suggest opting for the bed and breakfast option, and exploring the local restaurants instead.

My wife and myself had a 10 day stay at Vasia Ormos and it's such a clean well run hotel with absolutely fantastic staff.food is very good but night time is very quiet in the hotel. If you venture out of the hotel to the main street and turn right you'll find Taverna Stavros,what a absolutely traditional place run by Maria.great food and so rustic. We had lunch and evening meals here ,can't fault the place.if you want to know anything about Agios Nicolaous Maria can tell you .she also gives a small bottle of Raki at the end of your meal .and it's the good stuff. Turn left on the street and you will find Kri Kri restaurant, voted one of Agios Nicolaous best eating restaurant.next door is Galley bar .if you fancy a little up beat music,free pool darts and a good chat with people this place has what you want.also great snacks and pizzas are freshly made. Overall you have the choice of everything.30 minutes stroll into the main harbour for shopping and boat trips.or just stay around the hotel area. The church of St Nickolas is only a short walk from the hotel.But do visit Maria at Taverna Stavros.as she says .No Problem .. Lovely Jubbly.
