Guests praise the attentive staff and luxurious villa amenities. The spacious, elegantly designed rooms receive high marks for cleanliness and maintenance. However, some mention the need for more variety in water sports offerings.

Just spent 5 days in this hotel in a glorious setting with unbeatable views of Spinalonga. Despite being a long hike from beach and restaurants, easy to get about thanks to multiple golf buggies - never waited more than 5minutes. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Slightly disappointed by being able to hear neighbours through linked rooms - would have expected better from a classy expensive hotel. Good variety of restaurants and snack bars, would definitely recommend

Pros: beautiful location, nice sandy calm beach, clean pools, villages of Elounda and Plaka are nice to visit with friendly locals and cute shops, kids activities and kids club were very good Special thanks to staff members: at the main bar George Jr and Marcos- excellent cocktail making class, very knowledgeable and friendly Georgina at the main restaurant buffet was outstanding and did her best to help us find suitable meals for our son with food allergies Areas of improvement: Our check in process was lackluster, the staff member was unenthusiastic, pricing was confusing, amenities and booking of activities was not clear or always easy. The food options were extremely limited at the buffet and food allergies were a concern- limited options, did not have separate utensils to prevent cross contamination and many times were mislabeled (again Georgina was fantastic, but overall improvements could be made in the options and better training for the rest of the staff and it seems too much for one person to handle all the allergies and dietary restrictions) In general we found the food options to be better outside the resort. The food trucks had the best meals on the resort, although reservations are required which was not clear to us at the beginning Specifically for room 204- the advantages to this room are: proximity to the main breakfast area, beach and lobby, privacy without close neighbors, and a sea view. However, this room also shared a storage area for maintenance staff under the balcony which was an eyesore. We also heard golf carts whizzing by and shining lights in the bedroom window at all hours, heard staff members and guests talking loudly and smoking outside our bedroom which was quite disruptive to our sleep. We felt the balcony off the bedroom was useless for this reason- constant traffic, noise and smoking was really not ideal. Additionally, all the curtains in this villa were cut too small for the windows and didn’t block out the light which was disruptive for sleep. In general the villa did feel a bit dark so additional lamps would be helpful and perhaps a full length mirror. The kids club and pool area are quite nice. We did feel as though they could use an additional pool as there is only one family pool and one adult pool. Due to the number of private pools in some of the villas, these common pools never felt overly crowded, thankfully. With some improvements in the villas and dining options this resort has enormous potential, as it is beautifully located
