We have just returned after a week holiday from this resort. We are a family of one adult and 3 children age 12, 13 & 16. We paid for an upgrade to a private pool, this was perfect for us as my children did not want to use any of the kids clubs and meant I could sunbathe whilst they enjoyed the pool. This for us was well worth the upgrade price and I wouldn’t stay here again without having a private pool. We were located in 3032 which was close to everything. I emailed before we arrived and requested a room with all day sun and this room did not disappoint! Although not private as our neighbours were very close it wasn’t as overlooked as some of the other private pool rooms. The room was of a good size, had plenty of storage / wardrobe space and was cleaned daily. They do not top up tea / coffee however there is a self service bar at breakfast and evening meal. Also coffee machines at the snack bar. Food The breakfast had good choices. We ate lunch everyday at the snack bar which again was perfect for us. Evening meals were always varied, hot and plenty of choices. Drinks - we were informed before we left to take refillable cups, this was a god send as no water bottles are topped up in the rooms. You get one large bottle when you arrive but there are a few water filling stations around. The snack bar & evening dinning had a serve yourself bar with beer / wine & soft drinks. Entertainment My 2 younger children enjoyed the slides and there were always free sun beds for me to sit on whilst I watched on. We only used the quiet pool on the last day, which wasn’t really quiet and still has lots of children using this pool. We were able to get sun-beds easily. The evening entertainment was of a good standard, the reps here work extremely hard. If we didn’t want to sit in the amphitheatre we could watch from our small garden. The outside entertainers especially the LED and fire show were superb. Area There is an onsite small shop with reasonably priced snacks, drinks & inflatables. We did buy some inflatables as none were available at the swap shelf located in the lobby bar area. We walked a Couple of times into Elounda, this took us around 30 mins (at a leisurely pace) the roads are quite and a footpath is available about half way. A taxi was 11 euros one way. Highly recommend the Elounda train, we did the 50 min trip to the view point. Also we used Boat Trip Elounda for a day boat trip, this was superb and the highlight for us. A family run business, reasonably priced. Our day trip was 4 1/2 hrs, included several swim stops, a scenic tour of Spinalnglo and the coast. Also included all drinks and home made food which was delicious. We walked to the small beach / cove a few times, the children paddled but would recommend sea shoes as a mix of rocks and sand. Cons The private pool This turned everything green. I had read about this previously so we just made sure we all wore black costumes in the pool. My son who spent the most time

I chose this hotel based on the facilities and price, as this was the first time taking my 8yr old away on my own, I wanted somewhere he would enjoy that also fitted my single parent budget. Yes we have stayed at much better hotels but also paid triple the price so my expectations were not high. We arrived at 2am after a very long transfer, our room was very basic with only 1 window which we were really disappointed with, but I spoke to reception and asked if we could move rooms, they said if I waited until the next day they would have another room for me to look at, and as promised they called me the next day and showed me the new room which was located close to the kids club and was much nicer, they helped us move our cases and we were so pleased. We spent most of our time at the main pool which had an Astro football pitch to the side, my football mad son LOVED this and spent most days between the pool and playing football and I managed to get a subbed close by so I could enjoy sitting in the sun and reading my book while he played, he made so many friends and really enjoyed himself. The food was good, yes I’ve had better but my son loved the kids Buffett and the freedom to go and choose his own food. The two a la cart restaurants were fantastic, especially the Taverna! The evening entertainment was great and we enjoyed Quizstorm, the entertainment team worked so hard to entertain everyone and my little one loved the shows. The hotel is on a hill so it was a workout going up and down to the restaurant and main pool but I had read the reviews regarding this before hand so we knew this was the case, it didn’t affect our holiday. Overall the hotel was good, for the price, and my little one loved it and had the best holiday, and that’s what matters, and outweighs the negatives. He loved it so much he keeps asking if we can go back next year! Thanks you Elounda Breeze for a great holiday!

Wonderful family holiday. The resort is clean the staff are very friendly and helpful. The highlights for me are the incredible beach and bar (Thank you to the amazing Christina) and the top cocktail bar with stunning views to Elounda and Spinalonga). We will definitely return......

Lovely hotel, have stayed here twice. Great food, and rooms are spacious and well cleaned. Trekked up to the main restaurant be hard work when it’s hot, but buggy frequently takes people up and down, views from restaurant are amazing! The outside a la carte restaurant is also fab!

Just returned from a 7 night stay here at elounda breeze. Check in was smooth and easy, taken straight to the room with our suitcases, room was spacious and appears to be very clean. Bathroom could do with an upgrade as mentioned in previous posts the shower pressure is rubbish and have to leave it running a while to get lukewarm/warm water. The tiling isn’t great in the bathroom and there is a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom also. Air conditioning was great although it did cut off every time you opened the door and had to switch back on manually each time unlike other places I’ve stayed it automatically comes back on when door is closed? Otherwise room was all okay and kept clean throughout our stay. The splash pool appears quite dirty with the white drain areas coming apart as can be seen in pics. The pool sunbeds are not comfortable at all and a lot of them have a large gap inbetween the bottom and the top half due to the material having broke or shrunk? Umbrellas are stuck to the ground but are few and far between not enough and a lot of unused space where these could have been placed. Around the resort there is a lot of areas that could be used and are left empty no seating etc. We were disappointed there was no bar area at the splash pool and also the snack bar pool didn’t have all the range of drinks available just wine/soft drinks and beer. Snack bar food wise was good but the same everyday & the cardboard take away containers only big enough to take chips out of there, could do with some cardboard trays or plates to be able to take pizza/gyros?? There was no music throughout the day at any time during the whole week of our stay at any pools. Tables were cleaned very quickly throughout the resort we found which was good and meant flys were not around often. Drinks are not watered down and are very strong which was one good thing about this hotel as majority of these days hotels water the drinks down. One complaint about the drinks was the cardboard cups given when they have plastic ones available but don’t use them often only sometimes if your lucky, for a 5* hotel I think a cardboard cup is not ideal. The amphitheater wasn’t very comfortable to sit at night and no where to put drinks and watch a show, I think it’s much more of a better atmosphere when there are tables and families can sit around together, drink, watch entertainment and play games together and sit there throughout the night, entertainment was repetitive and boring unless it was a show that had come in from outside the resort. I came with my 9 year old and we found the entertainment to be a bit young for him. After the entertainment the bar area was very clinical, cold and bright and boring, games room wasn’t great could do with more stuff in there, 1 worn pool table and machines that took your money and didn’t work. Mario who works at the amphitheater bar I saw was serving guests with light blue wristbands on which I thought these were under 18?

Not 5 star. TUI say 4 star hotel once there is classes as 5*. If they class this as five star then they really need to up there game. Our room was nice and seemed cleaned on arrival, really spacious separate room for our daughter. On further inspection it really does need a good clean, the shower was dirty, tiles slimy and mouldy around the bottom. We couldn’t understand why our feet were always dirty until we wiped the floor after daughter spilt a drink it was awful. The patio area was never cleaned our whole stay. Towels changed daily which was good if needed. Bedding changed once. The food in restaurant was good although could be hotter, the view up there amazing. The tiles on floor are coming up and not cemented down with some sharp edges. The decking at the bar area and snack bar really needs to be looked at boards missing and sticking up. Only half of the seating area at the bar has lights. No music only when asked for it to be put on. Denies on bar was amazing the others not so good no people skills and very disinterested in helping. The bar area inside resembles a dentist waiting room not atmosphere. Flooring inside near pool table broken and dangerous. Bar shuts and 12pm and the lights are turned off, I have never known this before. Normally drinks can be bought after 12. The room we used the day we were coming home was far cleaner than ours all holiday even though it had been used multiple times before we got our time slot. Sunlounger need to be replaced as some were broke and hurt to lay on. Staff around top pool great (TUI team) staff on reception rude and not helpful.

I took my teenage daughter here for a post-exam get away. We booked about a month in advance and had a good deal on an all-inclusive stay for a week, including transfers. TRANSFER & ARRIVAL: The transfer from the airport took about 1.5 hours and the coach was air conditioned, and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were greeted well at the reception building and taken to our room on a buggy, with our luggage being carried in for us. ACCOMMODATION: Our room was on the ground floor (there were some steps down to it) with a patio area and chairs/table by the sliding doors. It was kept immaculately clean with daily visits from the cleaning team who were very polite. (In Crete, you can't flush anything down the toilet, so we were glad that the bin was emptied every morning as it contained used tissue.) Our beds were comfortable, the wifi was superb (happy teen!) and we were provided with a bottle of water and wine on arrival. We regularly purchased more water for our room from the little mini-market on site, but could have refilled the bottle from various taps situation around the resort if we didn't want to spend the money (less than 1 Euro per big bottle). There was a decent size fridge, as well as a kettle, and coffee/tea supplies, but I'd taken my own tea so didn't use them. The only thing missing from the room was somewhere to hang wet clothes - there is nothing in the bathroom, and nowhere on the patio. Luckily, I'd packed a mini washing line which I rigged up across the shower, so I was able to dry our swimwear and the few clothes I hand washed during our stay. It would also have been nice if we could connect our devices to the TV to watch our own shows. The big TV on the wall only showed the news in English, and we ended up huddled around an iPad to watch our own things in the evenings (see note on lack of entertainment below). FOOD & RESTAURANT: The buffet selection was good with plenty of freshly cooked meat, fish, and vegetarian/vegan options. Lots of salad, fruit, and breads of various kinds. Breakfast included plentiful options, including eggs & omelettes cooked to order. Lunch was also varied. Soft drinks and wines and beer are on tap so you can help yourself. There are also take-away paper cups if you want to take something with you at the end of the meal. The evening meals had a different theme each night (e.g. Asian, Italian, Greek...) but there was always plenty on offer for even the most fussy eaters, including the obligatory 'beige' food (pasta/pizza/chips) for children in an easily accessible low-level counter. The range of puddings was also good. We both had lots of options despite me being vegetarian, and my daughter being a fussy eater! The restaurant staff - like all the staff at the resort - were efficient and thorough, with each table being extensively cleaned (including the seating and floor) after each family had finished eating. The only downside to the restaurant is the location - on a steep hillside. Luckily,
