Kitro Beach Hotel - Adults Only

Great location and service, but choose your room wisely Kitro Beach Hotel is ideally located right by the sea — the view is wonderful, and you can enjoy the beach just steps away. The breakfast is delicious and very generous, with plenty of variety. The staff are kind, welcoming, and very professional. However, the “economy” room is quite small for two adults. It’s manageable for a short stay, but for more comfort, I would recommend booking a superior room instead. Overall, a lovely hotel with great service and location.

Things we liked  - Location! Right on the seafront with fantastic views and just off the road of the free city bus!  - Lovely outside area for breakfast sat by the sea.  - Great communal area downstairs with TV and boons with comfortable sofas.  - Newly renovated/clearly recently touched up with nice decor.  - Nice bathroom and a good shower cubicle with complimentary shower gel and hand wash.  - Fantastic breakfast! Good choice of hot and cold items with fruits, olive spreads, breads, 'bacon', boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, salad and meat/cheese. Nice to also get a toaster!  - Friendly and welcoming staff.  - Nice and clean: I found only one hair on the bathroom floor and a curly one in the toilet. Communally, it was very clean and tidy. Fresh and modern.  - WiFi, air conditioning and TV included at no extra cost.  Things we didn't like - Balcony too small and actually quite difficult/dangerous to sit in the chairs because of how small it is.  - Ongoing noise and terrible smells from the drains.  - Noisy aircon/electric units outside in the void area of balconies during the night.  - Kettle/tea/coffee in the room would have been nice.  - TV and aircon included but only 1 English channel. - Slight attention to detail lacking regarding a light out in the bedroom and bathroom, a shower hose that didn't stay up so you had to hold it permanently and some marks/holes on the walls where things had clearly once been.  - No full length mirror in the room.

Not value for money We booked 2 double rooms with sea views costing the same price for each. One was ok but the other was half the size, very compact, with hardly any room around the bed and only a small built in wardrobe. Small dressing table but unusable due to having a fridge beneath. Air conditioning unit had some nasty stain on it and only gave a faint blast of cool air with all doors and windows shut otherwise it shut off completely. Sea view from small balcony was amainly of derelict buildings. The other room we booked was the opposite blasting out very cold air all the time so could only be used sparingly. Shower room was very small, shower tray and head dirty and toilet seat disgustig with blood / poo stains. Informed reception but told someone would see to it later which wasn,t good as we had just arrived and there was no other toilet in the building. This hotel appears to be understaffed the ones we saw were very pleasant though, all 3 of them. Best bit is breakfast area overlooking the beach and food and drinks all fine.

Journey around Crete Crisp modern hotel with generous room and bathroom. Our balcony was a good size with sea views...my booking choice. Quiet street...hard to find but good parking area within 50 yds. Walk through lobby to restaurant and beachfront. Receptionist very helpful.
