One of the most scenic hotels I have visited in 55 years of travel. Not often you enjoy all aspects of a hotel ,but we did on our recent visit. The location is superb ,only a short 10-15 minute stroll into Agios. The nearest beach being 2 minutes away .Plenty sunbeds / umbrellas or use a towel if you only want to swim. Haul yourself out the water for a deserving drink at the taverna overlooking the sea. Our room was on the 1st floor and was comfortable, clean and gave spectacular views from the balcony. We did the HB option and were impressed with the variety of food on offer.Probably too impressed as my waistline will testify to. The two out side pools were great and never too busy, although that could change in peak season. The views from the large pool in particular were great. Last of all I have to mention the staff. Collectively they all made sure we were looked after .No negative comments about anybody. Yes,we would return at a later date.

Just back from a wonderful week, over the Easter weekend. Stayed in the spacious room 717 with beautiful garden and sea views. The hotels cliff side location gives it breath taking views from not just the pool but when dinning as well. My room was lovely, bright and cleaned daily, well stocked with toiletries and other little extras. The bed was really comfy, and the individual AC unit was really effective. Food was plenty and varied with no 2 dishes the same all week. The waiting staff are so attentive and friendly, they genuinely seemed happy to work there. It was lovely to see how some of the regular customers were greeted with open arms. The food was so tasty, poached eggs at breakfast, different varieties of bread, cheese, ham, bacon, and fresh orange juice. I was half board so had lunch in the pool restaurant most days, the meals were again so lovely and well presented. A smoothy from the pool bar is highly recommended. Dinner was my favourite meal. I love fresh fish and salads, there was a wonderful variety of different salads daily, with every extra you could think of. A different fish every day as well as pork, turkey or lamb. They also had a beautiful array of deserts every night. I didn’t make much use of the bar or entertainment, but everyone was enjoying themselves and the bar was always full of people but not to an uncomfortable level. I paid extra for the Easter Sunday celebration meal, which happened in a private area, with fancy table cloths and an amazing array of food, and when you think you couldn’t eat any more, plates of spit roast lamb was placed on each table. Traditional music and Greek dancing and a fab a**osphere made for a great afternoon. The hotel staff from the Concierge’s Alex and Stelios, the ladies on reception and the night manager who helped me on my first night, were all fantastic, all of them with smiles on their face and eager to help and always with a conversation. All seem so proud to work there. Special shout out to the guest relations girl who was so helpful and friendly. My friend and I purposely booked so we could experience the Easter celebration in the local town. This was fascinating and worth the visit, the hotel wasn’t too busy as it was the start of the season and I’m so glad we got to see the festivities. Whilst I personally have mobilities issues, I booked this knowing the hotel was on a cliff side and I may have issues, however I managed fine and the concierge ran me about in the golf cart around the hotel, so no issues for me. The perfect stay can’t wait to go again. xx

This hotel is truly amazing, the staff go the extra mile always, not just sometimes. The food in the restaurant is always very tasty and the cleanliness is second to none. Amazing views and common areas are excellent. The bar staff at the hotel are superb, particularly Manolito friendly, funny and a star.

Awful hotel. Totally not what it looks like on the internet. The buffet food was not fresh, we had all inclusive but ended up going out to eat every day. The rooms are not cleaned properly. It is not a good hotel if you have a baby. There are many stairs, and sometimes the elevators are not working. Besides that the staff is exceptionally nice and try to attend to all your wishes.

We just arrived home after an amazing 7 day stay in one of the villas. The villa was spotlessly clean & had everything that we needed ( including a washing machine - so one less job for me to do when I get home ) Everyone was so friendly- this is my second stay here & will definitely be visiting again x

I went to the spa on two different days, both for massages and the steam room / hammam. Both times the spa manager and masseuse were nice and helpful, and the massages were great (I would recommend! Feet, back and scalp). The hammam was a bit underwhelming at first because the facilities are quite small, same for the sauna - they're both 'just' a room. But they work great once the heat gets started, and we had them all to ourselves! There are showers and toilets available just next to it, so it makes the whole process very easy. Everything was clean and working well. I would recommend going to the spa in person to check out what is available and book something in advance - you get all the info and advice then! Also, note that the access to sauna/hammam/indoor pool is free for the days you have a massage or skin appoin**ent.

First, let me give you an introduction. The Cretan Massage is in the same style of a Deep Tissue Massage, meaning it's a strong massage. If you already know what it is you can have an idea otherwise, to give you an idea, I don't take these massages to relax but more to be fixed, it's not a pleasant time but the pay off is worth the pain, trust me. Knowing that, it's time to give a review based on my experience. The Cretan Massage is unique by the product they are using: oil mixed with raki (if I'm not mistaking). The technique is close to a Deep Tissue and will help you to get rid of the tension in your muscles. The masseuse, was amazing and checked all the time if the pressure on my muscles was okay. I really enjoyed the experience and realised how much I didn't treat my muscles properly for a while and how I needed that massage. Highly recommend!!! Ps: as they explained, don't go in the water for an hour after the massage, let it cool first.

A very poor start to the holiday with a late flight into Crete and arriving at the hotel very late, we could smell food and were tired and hungry, we checked in and dropped our bags off and headed down to reception to ask where we can buy some food ? The short dark haired man on the counter refused to sort us any kind of food regardless if we paid or not due to him still expecting more guests soon who paid for half of full board ? Considering he saw we had a very tiny upset toddler with us we felt this was cruel and he could have sorted us out even if it was just some toast and jam ? The only help we had was a point through the windows telling us to go find the lights (town) and buy something there ? I had to walk through and unknown area with my partner and 1 year old at 1:30am to go and buy a meal go bring back and eat for us and the other two much older adults we were with. This kinda thing can’t be uncommon and should be built into the hotels schedule to help late arriving guests.. We didn’t end up eating until around 2:30am. On a good note the staff in the Buffett restaurant at breakfast were extremely friendly and hard workers, we couldn’t fault the service. We took our child to the on-site play park to find very old equipment which is not safe to use as its falling apart and loose, I put my hand on the climbing frame and the whole thing moved, perhaps this is why there is a smashed up climbing frame thrown the other side of the fence ? We had several faults with out rooms during our stay with most not being fixed by the hotel team properly resulting in an accident. Firstly the glass in our shower is on the wrong side which means every time we use this we have to put our towels on the floor as the bathroom floods. Secondly the shower head seal came apart during use causing the water to spray onto the ceiling ( they did actually replace and fix this ). We had a problem with the AC in the bedroom where it would start pouring water out onto the floor and bed, we reported this to reception and a few hours later we got told it had been fixed for us ! The next day the same thing happened and we reported this again. The maintenance man turned up while we were in the room and used a screwdriver to pry the plastic cover off the front of the AC, he didn’t do anything else and put it back on and said it’s fixed ?? FOR THE THRID time the AC leaked onto the floor again without our noticing until our child slipped and smacked her face on the floor!! I brought this up to reception with nothing but and apologies and admittance the maintenance man clearly didn’t fix this issue again. ( They did give us a free lunch voucher to apologise however this should never have happened in the first place ). One of us used the handrail near the lower main entrance and nearly fell down the stairs as it’s loose at the top.. just can’t make it up haha. Lastly the on-site shop is a complete ripoff for anyone who doesn’t want to venture into town, the prices ar
