Lovely hotel with great views. We went half board and were very pleased with the food and service. Rooms were very clean and lovely apart from small shower. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxed (April). Agios Nikolos was a beautiful town to potter around. We hired a car and would recommend day trips to: Spinalonga Island, Plaka, Sitia, Richtis Gorge, Cretan Olive Oil Farm Agios, Vassilakis Estate Free Olive tour, Krista and Ancient City of Lato.

Highly impressed with everything. Food outstanding beautifully fresh every meal. Facilities incredible for what ever you desire. Spa treatments so professional and relaxing with a lovely girl EVI to help along the way. Bed rooms all kitted out with the essentials, always kept immaculate. All inclusive drinks were the best I have ever had the options for cocktails,straights and beers all exceptional. Staff all couldn’t do enough with what ever you desire, I brought my 8 month old and they are the friendliest people you could possibly meet. Views are spectacular. Highly recommend

We stayed at the Miramare in September 2024. It is a lovely hotel and the staff are mostly very friendly. The room was slightly more tired than it looks on the pictures. Good points: - Beach is a 5 minute walk away - The grounds are lovely and well cared for. - The grounds are on a steep hill, but the lift makes it easy and we were helped up and down with luggage by staff in a golf cart. - Location is excellent, around a 20 minute walk into Agios Nikoloas town with or a cheap taxi (four euros more or less). Not so good points. - The dining room didn't have air conditioning, which made it a little uncomfortable. - The part that did sour the experience of the hotel was a particular waiter, who for unknown reasons was just very rude. Yiannis was fairly rude on one occasion when we asked to move by the window as it was hot; he abruptly said no, as he had just set up those tables. Over the next few days he continued to be very abrupt, telling us we couldn't pay by card for drinks, before another staff member corrected this. One night was the worst, he spoke only in Greek. When we asked if he could speak in English, as we didn't understand, he very seriously said no and that we're in Greece, we should speak Greek. I queried this with another waiter who apologised for his colleague and said "he can be like that". It's difficult to describe, but we could tell he was not having a joke with us. We also always make an effort with the language, at least 'hello', 'please' and 'thank you'. It did sour the experience of the hotel to be treated so rudely when we'd paid a lot to go and for absolutely no reason at all. Other staff in the dining room were all really pleasant and friendly. Other than this, it is a nice hotel in a good location; the rooms could just do with a little updating.

Unbelievable experience . Arrived at 2.00 am due to flight cancellations in London. These guys met us and provided food which was great as hadn't eaten. Amazing reception staff. Brilliant restaurant staff and would say that the mojitos in the restaurant bar was probably the best ever had and again was served superbly. The rooms are nice and offer comfort. Shower superb 3 pools all different . Loved them all. Greek night bbq is a must. Re town ... it's a 15 min stroll but wow when u get there u must try. Restaurants around the lake . Strada in reticular was amazing Beeches turn right from your hotel . 19 min walk golden Beech is one of the best in creete.

Me and my family have just come back from Miramare. We all loved it! Got there very late and were pleasantly surprised to still have food available. Loved the buggy ride to our room and the staff were very welcoming! We were All Inclusive and loved the food. We tried different things and thought it was great that drinks were brought to our table! Deserts were great as they can sometimes be a disappointment! Loved the Pistachio ice-cream and mini strawberry tarts. We loved the Aegean pool and I like the fact that there weren’t too many sunbeds. Good quality, branded drinks available all day! Great views and enjoyed walking into Agios Nikolai. We loved the boat trip to Spinalonga and a swim in the sea. The staff and guests were very friendly on the whole and we chatted to people from different places! We fed the white cat with cancer on his nose and ears. He seemed to like Whiskas biscuits and small tins. The cat lady (Veronica) sits on a desk in the reception area and is always happy to talk about the cats. Overall, a great holiday and would love to go back there!

Don't be put off by any negative reviews. This is our second visit, and it still lives up to ts 4☆ reputation. • lovely hotel • lovely food • Amazing views from hotel • Great drinks package • Great location. • Just over an hour from airport. • Two beaches (pebble or sand) 5 and 10 mins from hotel entrance. • Local town with harbour, lake, shops, bars, restaurants 20 min walk from hotel entrance. • Hotel staff, restaurant staff, bar staff, room service all very friendly. • Some people say not enough food choice (there is plenty). • Not enough drink options (there is plenty). Evening entertainment isn't the best, but your on holiday, so just enjoy yourselves. And we even got a room upgrade 😃

This hotel is located in a perfect setting next to the sea with great views of mountains on the other side of the bay. The hotel is a 10 min walk to Almyros beach which is one of the best beaches in this part of town with a long stretch of sand and clear blue sea. The hotel is very clean and all staff are really friendly. The restaurant staff are extremely efficient which is run by the restaurant manager Mikalis who is very professional and makes sure the restaurant is run as smooth as possible. Food at dinner was very good with a good variety and different choices throughout the week. Breakfast was OK but fairly repetitive. The rooms were OK and of a good size. We are a family of 4 and there was adequate space. The rooms could do with some updating and the shower unit is very small and anyone of a large build might struggle inside the shower. The hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are many stairs with the rooms split on different levels although they do have electric buggies to ferry guests around if the stairs become and issue. My one complaint of the hotel was the gym. It is very outdated and definitely needs updating as some of the equipment appears unsafe due to the age of the equipment. Overall I would stay here again but there is definitely a need for updating parts of this hotel if they want to maintain their 4 star status.

This is a bizarre place. Could give this 5 stars for the staff who are really attentive and friendly with an added sense of humour. The food also is good with no complaints. Their Cretian night also really good. But bizarrely, they must want guests to go to their rooms early so they don't take advantage of the all inclusive although you need at least 48 hours to get your head around the 3 different levels of all inclusive and which one you are. The entertainment is entertaining because it is so depressingly awful. Despite previous trip advisor reviews about the entertainment, the management must like seeing guests walking away in boredom as the piano starts up again as at least they're not drinking. Regarding the Cretian night, this is an extra charge which is worth it because the food, live music and dancing is really good. But, irrelevant of all inclusive level, drinks are extra. All this does is make the guests go to the main bar in their droves once they have ate leaving the dancers and band playing to a handful of people. It just doesn't make sense why the hotel run it this way. There are 3 pools and not always adequate sun beds, people get up early to reserve beds so if you want a lie in, forget it. It's a shame about the drinks policy and entertainment as the hotel has so much to offer, credit to the staff.
