We had visited this resort on our honeymoon, hoping to kick off our marriage with a bit of indulgence. Whilst the food, drinks and location were fantastic, we felt that a few key issues unfortunately ruined some of our experience. As we were honeymooning at this location, we were informed that fresh flowers, rose petals, and a pillow menu would be provided on arrival. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. We found multiple maintenance problems with the room on arrival: the bathroom extractor fan didn't work, the ceiling fan was loose and the pool safety lights were non-functioning. We reported these on two separate occasions, the bathroom fan was fixed, however the other issues were dismissed as repairs would take too long, and we were staying for a short period (4 nights). We were not offered an alternative room, which meant that use of the pool at night was dangerous. We also experienced a power-cut on the final night of our stay, which was reported to reception and resolved within 15 minutes. Our experience at the restaurants for which we were able to book was incredible. The food prepared was among the best we tried on our honeymoon, and the serving staff were fantastic and helpful. Our only issue for this was that booking onto the restaurants was sadly impossible for 2 of the venues, as they were fully booked. When we queried any wiggle-room for bookings or alternative options, the restaurant bookings staff told us they would prioritise customers staying for 7 nights or longer, which was disappointing and didn't leave us feeling valued. The views from the various pools and our room were fantastic, and the staff were very helpful in helping to get around the resort (due to the very steep slopes). We would probably stay here again, but with lower expectations. I would recommend some of the other hotels that we stayed at instead for honeymooning couples.
