Easy to get to from the airport, we just hopped on the #6 city bus, and there is a bus stop right in front of the property. City busses are clean,and cheap, I think it was about 5€ or so, and takes about 35 mins. Check in was really smooth. The place is spotless, customer service is very good, they upgraded us to a small bungalow right next to the beach. We were taken by golf cart which was nice. Accommodation was clean, and new, nice bed, decent bathroom, it's a little small, but has a shower, no tub. Really nice deck area to have coffee and listen to the ocean. The room has a small fridge, a safe, decent closet space, a small couch, queen sized bed, large TV, and great wifi. Actually wifi was available everywhere on site. We opted for the breakfast package, which was actually very nice. Buffet style, but literally dozens of options. Fresh fruits, breads, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, many many hot dishes, you will not go hungry. We also had one formal sit down fancy dinner which was also very nice. We didn't really use any of the on-site facilities, but we did hang out at the pool for a few hours one day. Even though it seems like there was a lot of people there were still a lot of loungers available. Pool looked really nice, only a few people used it. Beach area also has loungers and umbrella for free use. Really nice sandy and shallow beach, great for kids, but it does get windy, so keep that in mind. Impressive amount of smokers manage to keep a steady supply of cigarette butts in the sand at all beaches we visited. Kind of gross, but this seems like a European thing? Can't say we have seen this in other places. I would easily reco.mend this place due to the fact that it was really clean, food was nice, easy to get to, lots of off site dining, gift shopping, bakeries, grocery stores, and car rental places within a 10 minute walk.

Lovely stay, nice food lots of activities but not perfect for honeymooners

Visited this hotel in Aug , quick transfer from airport. Room was nice we were in main block but balcony was overlooked by another block so no privacy. Not that it bothered us really. We loved saying morning to other guests to get a complete blank back. Don't think they were happy to be on holiday. All staff were lovely it's nice to acknowledge them as the hours they work and just a thankyou would be nice for them. Food was nice plenty of choice but usual buffet, would say wasn't keen on the fish a bit strong tasting. My kids loved the puddings. After 7 days we started eating out to try local restaurants for a change. Nice to help the local eateries aswell. Beach was 5mins walk and sunloungers were free if you got a drink from the beach restaurants. They would take your order from sunlounger. Coke 2.50 euro Resort itself was really quiet in the evening , no entertainment at hotel but we knew this. The crepe lady was amazing at the pool bar And last the swimmingpool was massive and warm. Optional meals included (two/three meals a day) It is far from the city, but there is bus line 1 in front of the hotel that can go directly to the Archaeological Museum in the city center. Taxi from airport to hotel 32 euros The hotel can book a taxi. It cost 25 euros for the two of us to go to the port early in the morning. (A Mercedes-Benz business car arrived. I was a little panicked, but it turned out that I was overly worried; cautious friends can clarify the price when booking.)

I will try and keep this review to the point. Arrived for a 7 day stay at this hotel. Hotel looks amazing from everywhere. Booked a dazzling sea view room and when we arrived I realised it was not a dazzling sea view room and was more what other hotels would refer to as a partial sea view room - showing slight sea view from a corner. I raised it with staff who advised it was sea view but could look at it tomorrow which given the time I agreed to. I also raised it with my travel company. The following morning in the afternoon I was shown another room which wasn’t a proper sea view either. Given that I paid a considerable amount more for a sea view I wasn’t happy with the room provided. I showed the guy in reception the photo of the room I chose when booking and he told me that it “was just marketing” to which I responded it’s false advertising - he then walked off and left us. Later in the day we had a call from guest relations to ask how our first night had been etc which was nice and I explained the night had been ok but room wasn’t good. The lady told me I was in a urban city room not a dazzling sea view which I had chosen and paid more for. I later received a call from my travel company who advised that another room would be shown. Guest manager maria advised she wasn’t sure why we had been told it was city urban view but the new room was front facing sea view - we eventually moved on day 2 and there was no reimbur*****t for the days we were in the incorrect room. The new room was good but just a shame that it took so long to resolve as nobody wants a bad start to their holiday. My second critique of this hotel is front reception staff - mainly the men. Their attitude is poor and any questions appear to be a chore for them. When we arrived I asked about late checkout as our flight wasn’t until 11.55pm. I was told to request it a day before which I did. I was then told to come at 9pm and I explained I had dinner reservations but would come later In the night. I already knew there was an additional charge to keep the room which I was happy to pay. I was then told the hotel was fully booked and late checkout was not available now but we would have access to facilities. This again left a sour note to the holiday as it meant we had to rush and pack and then didn’t have comforts of using bathroom or resting etc. I also checked the hotel website and *********** which showed the hotel did have room availability so the guy on reception was being dishonest. I did challenge him On this but he didn’t appear to care and said if I wanted to book another room I could but it wouldn’t be ready until 3pm the next day. I could write so much more about this experience but overall it really ruined the day and final day of holiday. What was meant to be a relaxing day ended up being stressful as we had to be out the room by 11 and then had nowhere to really rest. Now onto the positives because there are some. Great hotel, the rooms were spotless, the cleaning staff were attentive and friendly, the front desk staff was cheerful and extremely helpful when I needed some meds on a Sunday. They searched for a pharmacy that was open, and then called to make sure. Great place. And the breakfast is very comprehensive!

Start with the positives. Restaurant staff ( Stella ) amazing . Such a lovely lady and nothing was a trouble. Bar staff bottom pool bar Poppie and Demetrius…. Wow, these two are a credit to the hotel. Worth their weight in gold!! Both work so hard. Cleaning staff all very nice people. Pool area’s are lovely and of course you do have amazing views. Drinks included in the all inclusive package we really couldn’t complain, cocktails very nice and all served with a smile. Food in the restaurant was okay, unfortunately breakfast was always cold. Even if you were in the restaurant early. Eggs fried, scrambled etc were always cold and rest of grilled food was the same. Lunch and dinner you did have a good choice but definitely not 5 star. Negative’s Reception staff - we arrived late at night on Friday 12 April and initially the greeting from lady was very pleasant . She sat us down and very quickly ran through a map of the resort. Then straight away continued to ask for a 70 euro payment for resort tax. Very quick to take this ! We were sent on away in a golf trolly to our room (216). The room looked completely different to what we had booked through Jet2. Very small, no living area. No private out door area. Toilet and shower very worn. Safety deposit box not working. We could hear the toilet in the room above us being flushed also a loud noise from the boiler room that was right nextdoor to us. We ended up walking back to reception ( as no number left on phone to say how to call reception) just what we needed after a long journey. Explained the problem to the same receptionist ( wish I had of taken down her name). The lady looked at us as if we were stupid , asked what room did we think we should have. I showed a picture of the booking confirmation which also included the description and photo of the room. Nothing like the one we were in!! I also continued to tell her about the noise from the boiler room and toilet from above . Her response was shocking , telling me to find her at 11am the following morning. No apology no empathy nothing! We went back to the room didn't unpack thinking we would be moved the following morning. Went back to reception as she requested at 11am , same lady on the desk with a mile long que of people checking in and out. Another member of the reception team came over and told us the hotel was completely full and if we had a problem to contact Jet2!! The rest of the resort staff are amazing but the reception team are something else. You would think they work for a different company. Awful experience with these guys. Wi-Fi - we found the connection terrible. The resort App- waste of time , not updated with incorrect information. No one answers you on Whats app. It’s number 9 for calling reception , if they don’t understand you when you call they hang up on you! Experienced this twice. Waited 2 days for the safety deposit box to be fixed. Again this was down to the unhelpful reception team, not telling us we ne

I had a pleasant 7 night stay here at this accommodation while in Heraklion, Crete. It belongs to the Lato Boutique, which is the main hotel. The Annex is right opposite and required card access to enter. Room was the Economy room (15 sq. metres), a little on the small side, but good enough for a solo traveller. The room was right next to the stairwell and the lift, so there were times I could hear people moving about, but at night it was very quiet, and there were no sleep disruptions. Bed was comfy, air-conditioning was also good. The shower was also good, with shampoo and soap provided, though I noticed it was running a little low towards the end of my stay (i.e., no refills were done). I also appreciated that a luggage rack was provided, along with two bottles of water on check-in day. Fridge was big enough to fit lots of mineral water bottles to keep them cold, which would be a great reprieve in the summer time. Room safe was incredibly huge as well, it can easily store laptops securely, if needed. The elevator door got stuck on the day of check-out, but still worked, so not too big of an issue there. Wi-Fi requires a special code that you can get from the reception. My first code strangely stopped working after two days, but was promptly rectified after I informed the reception of the issue. There were no other connectivity issues for me. The hotel location is pretty near to the Venetian Port, and the Rocca Fortress; it is also walking distance away from the main shopping street in Heraklion and lots of good eating places nearby. There are also supermarkets nearby to get water as well. It does get quiet at night, but I did not encounter any incidents that made me feel unsafe. My room came with buffet breakfast included, which is served in the main building. Breakfast starts service from 7 am onwards, and was generally quite crowded at the start. Depending on the crowd level, the staff will occasionally open up a new section of the dining area. Breakfast was generally good, there was a good spread of American breakfast items, to pastries, ham and cheese and even Greek yogurt with a lot of condiments. It varied a little bit from day-to-day, but was generally the same for the most part.
